Gros Membres!
I am in a 12 team, competitive league. Some newbies and about 5 competitive teams that pluck the wire dry. This week the Commish of my league swung a trade. He got P. Manning, Gabriel, and Ronnie Brown and traded away Delhomme, Chambers, and McGahee. I was out of town at the time but would not have opposed the trade anyway. Stupid trade but couldn't say it was collusion for sure. Then I noticed that right before the trade happened the commish changed the status of the time allowed for a trade to go through from 2 days to 1. Thus, in my mind, giving less time for people to challenge the trade? He did not notify anyone of this change and according to him consulted with one member of the league before changing it. The problem I have is with the rule change prior to the trade without my notification/vote. What should be done about this? If this were your league, what would you do? Thanks. TheCMB
That's BS - very questionable trade and very questionable circumstances. What do you do? I don't know, but I wouldn't be in the league next year with that guy as the commish.

The Vatican Hitsquad
Yep. Couldn't agree more. What to do now, after the fact? Voice your objection, do not participate next year. Any rule change enacted MID SEASON, has to have 100% approval of the owners.
The Wolf
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the trade itself, but it is the changing of the time frame for a trade to pass from 2 days to 1 that is dead wrong. No way this trade should happen UNLESS the 2-day time frame clear. In addition, that commish needs to go. We're supposed to be beyond reproach. How can we enforce the rules if we first do not follow -- and then change them -- to fit our own needs?
