lawn saver
Is he coming back soon? I know Huard is playing well, so they wont rush him back. I have the case of the Benches this year. Both CPep and Bledsoe were benched. I picked up Pennington. Will Trent be back this year and is he a good pick up??
Bronco Billy
Last I heard, Green is targeting the week after next weekend's games for being ready to play. As well as Huard has played, let's not forget that Green is a quietly prolific FF QB. Yes - I said prolific. Check his FF ppg stats year after year against other QBs throughout the history of the NFL.
Hat Trick
He should be back for the MIA game...and yes he's worth stashing away. Let's not forget the value he's had coaching Huard from the sideline towards the success that Huards has had thus far....when people start stating there could be a QB controversy when he comes back. muck
I like Green, but I'm not sure he'll ever really be the same QB again. I wouldn't be too surprised to see him make a more bad decisions than normal (ala Ben Roethlisberger) since getting his brain scrambled. Doc Holliday
I could not pull Huard if it were me. He has played to well and Green was unimpressive the little he has played this year. the team has a little momentum, they should not change things right now IMO. ABearWithFurniture
and Green was unimpressive the little he has played this year. the team has a little momentum, they should not change things right now IMO. I think Trent only played about a quarter or two in the first game before he went down...hard to be impressive in that short of time
Big John
I think Trent only played about a quarter or two in the first game before he went down...hard to be impressive in that short of time The injury occured late in the 3rd quarter. Riffraff
He was still getting acclimated to the non-Vermeil/Saunders offense. Thinking about it made his head hurt. Okay, not really. However, he may not be who you think he is anymore. This type of concussion makes a person realize how precious life beyond football really is. 9ersdude
The thing that bothers me is that he isn't exactly chomping at the bit to get back out on the field. It looks like he is okay with being on the sidelines, wouldn't be surprised to see him come back in a back up role. It would be a shame but I won't be surprised if it happens, Huard is playing pretty well.
muck
Actually, that's an interesting take 9ersdude ... are you thinking something like Green coming back as a BU to Huard / mentor to Croyle ... and evolving into a "3rd string QB / QB coach" role for a season or two and eventually getting into coaching or a front office sort of a role? Outshined
Will Trent be back this year and is he a good pick up?? KC is playing some tough pass defenses coming up. I would say no...

I think I was thinking towards the end of last year too. Green just has not been able to finish off drives passing the ball when Johnson is not punching them in and Huard has so far done this. with the team picking up steam it sure would suck for the Chiefs to throw in Green and him give them a setback at this point in the season.
