lawn saver
where do you think he is heading....Fantasy wise.... He has me 7-1 and in first place. He had basically won games for me, as well as many others of us out there in FF land. Is last week a fluke? I certainly hope so, but what are the thoughts out there?? Bronco Billy
I predict his production is going to drop severely this week followed by a reversion to form in week 10.

cre8tiff
I predict his production is going to drop severely this week followed by a reversion to form in week 10. Which form, this year's or last year's?
Bronco Billy
Seriously, if you look at the top 10 FF QBs right now, what you'll see in comparing running averages (average FF performance in 3 game blocks continuously to date), you'll see that of those top 10 QBs, McNabb, Grossman, & E Manning are all trending to dropping as the season progresses, that Kitna has trended towards leveling off at his current production, and the other 6 are trending towards increased production. That would indicate that McNabb is regressing to a lower average than the numbers he has put up so far, meaning I don't think, based upon the evidence available, that you'll be able to count on him for eye-popping numbers during the 2nd half of the season. Solid starter? You bet. But I'd be surprised to see him get into the top 5 FF QBs over the second half of the season.
Tally
His numbers have been so lofty, I dont see how he can go anywhere but down. it may be a great time to trade him for QB ranked slightly lower and an upgrade a different position. In the next several weeks, he faces Carolina, Indy, Atalanta, and 3 December road games I too think he'll be as solid any other QB out there, but you'll need to count on someone else to win you games....Mcnabb will be a smaller piece of your overall puzzle going forward. crispirons
just to put a different spin on it and a different pov, they still can't run the ball for crap (most games, few exceptions). so he will indeed have to throw alot for the eagles to win most games. there defense is middle of the road to bad this season. so he has got that going for him, which is nice. i agree with others also in the fact he has put up great numbers and he really has nowhere to go but down realistically. i would trade him for peyton at this point but no one else. lawn saver
I think his production will go down, but I think he will still be a top 3 or 4 QB at years end. I just hope my studs dont flop the second half I have Holt, Tomlinson, E. Manning (Flex), TO, A. Johnson, and some others. It was just nice to know that McNabb was putting up 300+ yards with 2+ TDs every week.

Wolv
His numbers have been so lofty, I dont see how he can go anywhere but down. Agreed. I'm also not sold on that receiving corp to allow him to post lofty numbers.

Have you not been watching "The Man" for the last 4 years? He's been the BEST fantasy QB short of Mannings record year 2 years ago. He's produced with a suspect receiving core almost every year. lawn saver
Oh...I agree. I am not thinking of trading or dropping him. My comment was to only say his production has to drop, but last week was a fluke. The first 5 games was 300+ with 2+ TDs. I think he will be around 250+ with 2 tds for the rest of the season. As soon as he can get his timing down with Stallworth and have Brown, LJ, and Westbrook healthy, he will have as good of a supporting cast as anuyone out there
