I'm Rick James Bitch
As a paid subscriber of both Fanball and CBS, I think Fanball has a lot more insite. I have to start Maroney this week regardless
MrTed46
FANBALL: THE NEWS The Patriots added running back Laurence Maroney to the injury report on Thursday. Maroney missed a portion of their practice and is listed as questionable because of a thigh injury. Our View This could likely be Bill Belichick trying to mess with the Colts. Watch for more updates on Maroney, but expect him to be ready for Sunday. CBS Laurence Maroney, RB NE News: Patriots RB Laurence Maroney (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 9 vs. Indianapolis. Maroney did not practice with the team on Thursday. Analysis: There is reason to be concerned that Maroney has been added to the injury report, especially since he has been added on Thursday and is listed as questionable. He does have a favorable matchup against a poor Colts run defense on Sunday, so there is a reason Maroney owners need to pay attention to any further developments before setting your roster for Week 9. _____________________________________________________ Any homers know more about this? I always hate to see people added on thursday...makes me nervous.
ced1001
Strictly gamesmenship IMO. Both the Pats and the Colts had 17 people on the initial injury report. BB had to 1 up Dungy.
samboy
If he really was injured, he wouldn't be listed on the injury report.

Rileyrott
Being added to Belichick's injury report as questionable on Thursday is one thing. NOT practicing on Thursday is another. Reason to be concerned: YES! Edited November 4, 2006 by Rileyrott

DMD
Understand that the "not practicing" that they are referring to means that they missed "any portion of 11 on 11 work". In the case of the Patriots and their ever closely guarded practices, it could literally mean that either Maroney was in another country yesterday or that he was not participating in one series of 11-on-11 because he had to go to the bathroom and that he did all drill work. Here is everyone who missed a portion of 11-on-11: WED Antwain Spann; David Thomas; Ty Warren; Eugene Wilson; Richard Seymour; Russ Hochstein; Chad Jackson; Steve Neal; Nick Kaczur; Garrett Mills; Daniel Graham; Ellis Hobbs; Willie Andrews; Reche Caldwell; Don Davis; Kevin Faulk; Jabar Gaffney THURS Russ Hochstein; Daniel Graham; Ellis Hobbs; Kevin Faulk; Chad Jackson; Nick Kaczur; Matt Light; Laurence Maroney; Garrett Mills; Steve Neal; Richard Seymour; Antwain Spann; David Thomas; Ty Warren; Eugene Wilson; Jabar Gaffney; Willie Andrews; Reche Caldwell; Don Davis
