FishFreak
Bill Simmons is entertaining 100% of the time but right 50% of the time. He's dead on with his Manning/Brady comparison. Yes I'm a biased Peyton basher but it's all deserved. Check out his article: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...=simmons/061103

Rovers
I look forward to these "Let's pick a QB to bash this week" threads from you. Hey, how 'bout Harrington and Culpepper next week?
Chavez
Bill Simmons is entertaining 100% of the time but right 50% of the time. He's dead on with his Manning/Brady comparison. Yes I'm a biased Peyton basher but it's all deserved. Simmons is nowhere near as insightful as Gregg Easterbrook, for my dollar. I don't really have a dog in the Manning-Brady fight, but here are two observations: - Manning's 3-6 record in the playoffs is certainly subpar for a QB of his caliber; however, in the 6 losses, he could probably only truly be called the goat in maybe two - as QB he is really only really the main cog in one of the three facets of the game. I think it also bears mention that WITHOUT Manning, coaches Mora and Dungy managed a 2-6 playoff record. That said, I think Vanderjagt's comments that Dungy and Manning tighten up in playoff games and play not to lose were probably too close to the truth for comfort in the Colts organization. - I've always found it funny that Manning is regarded as a statistical god while Brady "just wins" - ahem: Seasons among the league's top 10:Passing yards: 2002-6, 2003-6, 2004-10, 2005-1Passing TDs: 2002-1, 2003-10, 2004-6, 2005-3, 2006-3t ...has led the league in passing tds once and finished top 6 3 of the past 4 years. He's a more productive passer than even a lot of his proponents give him credit.

Harrington is a bum, I've said it from the jump. At least you won't have to worry about me bashing Pennington. I've already done it and you know where I stand with that bum. He's fading fast. And stick to the post or start your own thread on a different topic.
Bill Swerski
"I Really Hate The Colts" I think that everyone can agree that ESPN is East Coast-biased trash because of people like Simmons and former Pats beat reporter Michael Smith. I dunno, they seem to hang from TO, Favre, Randy Moss, Kobe, and Reggie Bush's nuts despite not sharing a time zone with any of them. Bill Swerski
So, let's see, Simmons stated in his article that he "hates" the Colts and the Yankees (meaning that he's a Pats and Red Sox homer), yet his article is supposed to be taken as a serious and objective analysis of Peyton Manning? Simmons is a joke of a sports writer who makes a living by telling a bunch of Chowderheads what they want to hear.

hutchprime
Simmons has never been 'objective' in his entire life. The guy might as well be a walking lobster with a Patriots helmet and a Celtics jersey on
BeeR
Simmons is a joke of a sports writer who makes a living by telling a bunch of Chowderheads what they want to hear. ...or what will generate "controversy" just so people will listen. :lame: And this is different from the rest of ESPN how? Actually clowns like this guy and Irvin are a perfect fit for ESPN. In fact, why stop there? They should have guys like "the Rock" and "Stone Cold" whoever on there. Then at some point they could have cage matches etc. Remember it's not about the sport anymore; who cares? It's about "entertainment." lol @ ESPN period. I'd rather watch the Weather Channel than their mindless dribblings. Edited November 5, 2006 by BeeR

CD6405
Peyton Manning sucks in the playoffs. Anyone that gets offended from that you're the problem and need to look at his record. Because someone had a difference of opinion than you you felt personally attacked, instead of focusing on a bigger issue, Why is your QB so good at choking?
