Explanations of different types of leagues

This is a fairly standard format here at the Huddle of how leagues are done, but they can all vary from one rule to another.

Keeper is where there is a format for keeping a certain amount of players from your roster for the next year. Some leagues you merely pick a number of players, and some leagues you give up next years draft picks to keep players. (i.e. if you want to keep one player, give up your first round pick, keep two players, give up first and second and so on...) So you need to keep players that are worth the value of the pick.

Dynasty is where you keep your entire roster. Usually after the draft, the league has a contract cap amount of years, (like 90 years) and you distribute the contract years among your whole roster. There is a rookie draft each season, and players who's contract years are up become free agents that the owners can bid on with their 'blind bidding cash' used for offseason free agents and regular season free agents.

Hope this helps.
