Bill Swerski
Sounds like somebody is still sore from that ass-kicking in Soldier Field.

I still think Da Bears are the team in the NFC, but this conference has suddenly become so convulted again; not sure what to think. Sounds like somebody is still sore from that ass-kicking in Soldier Field. Negative, Little Billy Browneye. I'm sore because the Hawks defense can't stop anything, including the Vikings. bushwacked
Goopster? Exactly...someone stated how they might be the best team ever last week (again) because they beat up on San Fran. A Chicago fan stated how they aren't the best because they should be kicking San Fran...I found it a bit hilarious because it was Week 7 and Da Bears hadn't really accomplished anything. Somehow, sliding past the Visqueens and the Cardinals became some kind of affirmation of awesomeness! Da Bears are 7-1 and they only thing they have proved so far is they are one game up on the New Orleans Saints and New York Giants for home field advantage...with a half of a season to go. BEARS! Pope Flick
The Bears are the worst 7-1 team in the history of the NFL. I would especially like to thank all the representatives of the Miami Dolphins community, for choosing to show up and demonstrate that, yes, teams are not only ALWAYS vulnerable but can peak too early and sometimes become instilled with the belief that all they have to do is walk out of the locker room to win. There's a fine line between extreme confidence and downright cockiness. Hopefully, this will sober the team up and they can win at two of the next 3 games by beating the Jets and then splitting the very difficult NYG/NEP diptych. If they're as good as some people think, this should be a slam dunk, right? Packer fans, just don't get your hopes up. ANd now that Grossman has finally, after 3 full years, played a full half-season he is exposed as someone who will make terrible decidions under pressure. 2 of his last 3 games were benchable offenses. Bronco Billy
Now the question that begs to be asked - how far does CHI have to fall before Griese gets his chance. From everything I've seen, Griese is a better QB than Grossman, even given Grossman's great start this year. I can't help but think that with the narrow escape in AZ & then a home loss against the lowly Fish that wheels aren't turning right now in the heads of the CHI coaching staff. Interesting... Pope Flick
Giants are gonna curb stomp the bears next week Do you think it will be as bad as what the Bears did to the Seahawks?
Seahawk37
Do you think it will be as bad as what the Bears did to the Seahawks? yeah about that, except the bears will have their MVP in the game.....oh wait they dont have an MVP. hmm thats the Seahawks! cre8tiff
Funny how ARI and MIA basically beat up on the vaunted D, but in totally different ways. Wonder what that tells the other teams in the NFL? I only know I am glad the pretender that is winning our league soley by virtue of having the Bear's D crashed back to earth. gilthorp
It showed that with 2 weeks and the right preparation, any team can win in this league. Houston played NYG tough, same with Cleveland and SD. The Fins had a great gameplan on both sides of the ball. Saban outcoached Smith. Congrats! Bill Swerski
Now the question that begs to be asked - how far does CHI have to fall before Griese gets his chance. From everything I've seen, Griese is a better QB than Grossman, even given Grossman's great start this year. I said this back before the season started. Griese doesn't have Grossman's physical talent, but he's a better decision-maker. The Bears offense can't play from behind in the second half, so they're going to have to limit their mistakes. They've failed to do so in two of the past three games.
Pope Flick
yeah about that, except the bears will have their MVP in the game.....oh wait they dont have an MVP. hmm thats the Seahawks! No, we have the NFL Defensive Player of the Year, who left the game yesterday with a foot injury. So, maybe he'll play maybe not, but it doesn't look good seeing as he's getting an MRI sometime today or tomorrow. Then again, I think playoff teams, much less a defending Super Bowl team, should be about more than a single player if they're that good. Since you're so confident, I'd like to offer a 2 week sig-line bet, I get the Bears and 30.5 points, since it was a 31 point spank Da Bears put on your team. I'll spot YOU the half point to prevent a tie, since you're saying "about that." I'm feeling charitable.
CD6405
Grossman is just a product of Steve Spurrier's college system and will NEVER be a good QB. At best he will be a backup.

Grossman has physical skills galore, but he's still making horrible decisions in his fourth year in the league. I thought that he had the talent to be another Jim Harbaugh, but he's looking more like the next Jeff George right now.
