msaint
Pats just signed a waived S from the Vikes...might this be bad news for Harrison?
Bill Swerski
Sounds like a separated shoulder that'll keep him out for some time. I don't wish injuries upon players, but it's poetic justice when a thug like Harrison suffers an injury on a play where he intentionally pile-drove Marvin's head into the turf. DemonKnight
Not like we would know the way they fudge the injury reports. Harrison may be fine, I think this is just some crafty Billichek gamensmanship.

While holding his facemask too. It went uncalled. Harrison is such a dirty piece of shhit. I hope he comes back and blows out all three tendons in his other knee. And he wonders why he has a reputation as "dirty". THAT'S WHY YOU DON'T MAKE PRO BOWLS RODNEY!
ced1001
THAT'S WHY YOU DON'T MAKE PRO BOWLS RODNEY! It's also why Harrison, Wayne and co. are scared sh!tless to go over the middle against the Pats. They may have won this battle, but he'll win the war. ‘’Do I take perverse pride in this?’’ Harrison said. ‘’All I can say is as many guys as say I’m a dirty player, just as many come up and tell me they admire how I play, the hard work, the commitment, the toughness. That’s the pride you’re looking for. I take pride in that.’’
Bill Swerski
I was reading a recent issue of SI while waiting for an oil change on Saturday and saw that their Players Poll voted Harrison the dirtiest player in the league by a HUGE margin. That speaks volumes.

ced1001
Yup....and if everyone thinks so...including the fans....it must be the truth. Of course nobody in NE land thinks this. I'm not saying he doesn't take every inch he can. He most definitely goes over the line... usually multiple times every game. But his personal view is that he'd rather be feared back there, than loved (and subsiquently respected). I can't blame a guy who just wants to win that bad. And I'm glad he's on our team. I tarnishes his legacy. He doesn't need to do that kind of stuff. And it comes back to get you. He broke his arm in the SB, tore his knee to shreds last year, and hopefully his season is over this year too. That's what happens to bad guys. But that's just, like, your opinion, man. There's a big difference IMO b/t someone who's going out there to injure people and someone who's going out there trying to win, playing a game he loves and respects so much. I think Rodney could give a hoot what people think of him. He's a complete football player who works as hard as any other Patriot in terms of preperation, being in the film room, conditioning, etc. The guy tore three tendons in his knee and is on the field 9 months later. That, itself, deserves respect. His job is to intimidate and punish. By the way the players voted, it appears that exactly what he does. Wow, you should look for a job writing for Disney...Good guys always win, bad guys always get punished, and the world is fair and balanced. Did Trent green get knocked out in the first game this season because he's a bad guy? How about Curtis Martin not being able to play because he's bone on bone -- is he also a bad man? I can agree that Harrison is a dirty player, but I just don't buy your theory that there's some karmic force regulating NFL injuries --- otherwise why hasn't a piano fallen on Romanowski? Because he doesn't walk underneath them? Seriously, of course not all injuries are due to "karmic forces" but I do have to admit that nobody deserved getting their knee blown out like Rodney Harrison did. Especially after all the times he's gone for other player's knees. And it's great watching him facemask Marvin to the ground, see Marvin get up, and Rodney lay their in pain. He deserved it. Like I said, I hope he's done for the year.

Yet I haven't seen him dive into the pile for cheap shots or intentionally go at player's knees. It's great that Rodney came back so fast. I was hoping the injury would show him the kind of damage he's done to other people. Nope. Maybe this one will. But I doubt it. Well, Clark and Harrison certainly weren't afraid to go over the middle once. If Rodney had been able to stay in the game, they sure as hell would've done it again. NFL PLAYERS said that Harrison was the dirtiest player in the league. He's been a thug since his day in San Diego. And it's a shame that he plays the game that way. He's a Pro Bowl-caliber SS and I'm sure that he's a good teammate and a decent guy off the field. But he's a freaking thug when he's in uniform. Since you probably don't remember, Rodney Harrison tore Trent's ACL on a cheap shot in the '99 pre-season. Czarina
I don't know if I could be more tired of people whining about what a dirty player Harrison is. Truth is, if he played for your team you'd love him. Oh, you'll deny it, but it's true. The other truth is that what Harrison does, many other players do too. I wanted the Colts to have a hard hitting "enforcer". We got one in Bob Sanders. But he isn't dirty. So I can honestly say I wouldn't want Rodney Harrison on the Colts. And the part about other players being dirty like Rodney, don't you think the voting would have been closer for Dirtiest Player? He won by a landslide. You are deluding yourself. Troy Polamalu and Roy Williams are both "hard-hitting" strong safeties, and neither has the history nor the reputation that Rodney Harrison does.
