DMD
Coach Andy Reid turned over playcalling duties to offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg after a 13-6 home loss to Jacksonville. The result was a balanced attack featuring more runs than passes for the first time this season. "We were in a rut offensively and I was calling the plays," Reid said. "I told you it starts with me, so, take a close look at yourself and you move on." Hmmm... so maybe the pass happy ways of the previous eight games is over now? Andy Reid is happy and the offense is balanced and McNabb owners just got 222 yards and one TD like the rest of us have been getting all season long from the other QBs. Take away the one Stallworth score and McNabb only had 138 yards passing and no touchdowns. Hope it was fun while it lasted...

DMD
The smirk is because no way is McNabb going to go hide under a rock but it could be the start of consistently lower numbers for McNabb who has been a goldmine for owners so far. Azazello1313
mcnabb scored more than manning did today. no mention of the manning bonanza being over, huh dorey? mcnabb could have EASILY scored a ton more than he did, they were coasting in the second half (much like the first 4 games of the season). the eagles are never going to be an offense that runs the ball 30+ times (edit: unless they're up 4 scores in the second half, like today), not with westbrook as the featured back. they're a powerhouse offense, and everything goes through mcnabb. if he's not the #1 QB in fantasy football right now, then he's far and away #2. sorry you totally missed the boat on him, DMD Edited November 13, 2006 by Azazello1313

I'm just glad it happened today. I faced McNabb in 2 leagues. One of the leagues my opponent was 8-0-1 and I had gone from 1-4 to 5-4. Barring a miracle(I have S. Smith and he has Foster, but I have a 24 point lead) he'll get his first defeat. Tony Romo has come to my rescue!!!!
i_am_the_swammi
uh, it was raining all game with 15-20 MPH winds, and the Eagles had a 14+ point lead almost the entire game. Doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to understand why they ran the ball so much.

Wolv
I just beat the 9-0 McNabb owner this week. Thanks Marty! I was certainly expecting McNabb's second half to be down from his first half - just didn't know it could be due to the play-calling. Never did understand why they didn't utilize Westy more. Might be a bad time to start though - who knows how long that knee will hold up under an increased workload...

In every game, there's plays that the other team would like to take away, but they happened, and there's no taking them away.

McNabb has dropped to his mean & leveled. Brees is rising & peaking right now (might be a very good pickup going into FF playoffs). Bulger & Rivers appear to have peaked & leveled. Vick has peaked and is reverting to his average. Palmer & Favre are both rising (might be good additions for playoff runs). Kitna & Brady seem to have leveled off. Grossman & E Manning have dropped significantly (may be good guys to bench or trade). Carr still up & down (can't find a level and is unreliable). Brunell has leveled off but is benched. From the looks of the trends of moving averages, it looks like McNabb is going to settle into Bulger/Rivers/Favre/Palmer tier of QBs hovering around the #3-#7 FF QBs. Azazello1313
BB that is funky scoring that almost NOBODY uses. it also doesn't account for the official stats on mcnabb from this sunday (257 and 2 TDs).

That's fine and I agree, but it also gives a more complete means of comparing QB play, and FF scoring is based upon the actual play on the field (at least it is in my leagues - maybe not yours). BTW, as usual you don't know what you're talking about. We revised the scoring for McNabb per the official judgment of the 2nd TD as modified by mfl.com: McNabb, Donovan PHI QB vs Redskins Sun 1:00 p.m. ET 10.0 2 Passing TDs 10.3 257 Passing Yards 6.0 12 Completions -7.0 14 Incomplete Passes -1.0 1 Sacks Against -0.1 2 Sack Yards Lost 1.2 12 Rushing Yards 0.8 4 Rushes 20.2 Subtotal Now that I've harpooned your weak argument again it's time for you to call me a name.... redknightsgoingdown
fixed Wait a minute... not to hijack this thread but are you kiddin me? McNabb was credited with a TD on MFL? I have seen this nowhere else. Everywhere I look it says 222 and 1 td. I was actually watching the play and that was not a TD for McNabb....that was a catch and then a fumble....and I am a McNabb owner....please, someone enlighten me as to why one site shows 2 td's??? DMD
Because the pass to Reggie Brown (I think) that he initially ruled as fumbling and Buckhalter catching the fumble and running it for 51 yards for a TD. But later Elias said that it was never in the possession of Brown so it was "caught" by Buckhalter for a TD, even though he was not the first person to touch it.
