Tiki is a (explitive) not a STUD

OK so go back in time to my draft when the ping-pong balls are balls are drawn for the draft order. I get the #5. draft goes: LJ, SA, Peyton.....so the guy that I love is sitting there at #4 (LT) and I am praying somehow I can get him, no such luck, LT goes to #4 and I'm stuck with crappy Tiki.

Well I didn't think he was crappy at the time after last year I thought he was a semi-stud. But my god he's the crappiest stud player I have seen. He's afraid to score a TD (come on).

In my league we get only 1 for 20 rush yards. So LT has almost 3x as many points as Tiki LJ almost 2x as many points.

Tiki the so-called stud has just a few more points than Addai, Rudi, Jones-Drew, Marion Barber, McAllister

And all this is Tiki's fault how, exactly? :D

Can't fault Tiki for Coughlin's playcalling. Tiki's a stud, you're just a (explitive) for taking him instead of SJax. :D

1300 yards and one TD come on. If he's good enough to carry between the tens he should get a look at the goal line, and if he cared a bit he would ask Coughlin for a try.

Tiki just cares about one thing, that's 7 or 8 more games while taking the fewest number of hits.

I think you are wrong. Tiki wants to win. The less beating he takes the healthier he stays and the more he can contribute to his team. Those yards at the goal line are some of the toughest to get. It is better for Tike AND FOR THE TEAM that the bigger, younger back pound it in in those short yardage situations.

And here is a news bulletin for you ... most teams in the NFL have a short yardage back.

You're quickly losing whatever credibility you have on this website. :D

Tiki is #1 in the league in rushing by about 40 yards and is one of the toughest players in the game, including this year. If you even watched any of his games, which I know you haven't, you would know that. As far as your league is concerned, just because you didn't have the foresight to realize that Tiki has only had a 10+ TD season twice in his 10 year career and has only broken 5 TDs 4 times...coupled in with the fact that everyone who does their FF homework knew that Jacobs would be the goal line guy this year doesn't mean that Tiki is a "expletive". It just means that you spent too much time looking a fantasy cheatsheets & not enough time paying attention to your own leagues scoring rules. :D

+1

I took Tiki in one league this year and kept him in another. I knew exactly what I was getting - Tiki has been a little unlucky in that he's been brought down close to the goal line a few times but I am certainly not disappointed. Most people knew that he'd have to get his TDs from outside the 10.

As for the comment made earlier about him not being tough, surely the poster has to be kidding? :bash:

Tiki: "Uhhh, Coach Coughlin?"

Coughlin: "What the hell do you want, Barber?"

Tiki: "Well, I uhhh, want the ball more inside the ten. You know, so I can score touchdowns and keep the fantasy guys from calling me an (expletive)."

Coughlin: "No. Brandon scores the touchdowns. You gain the yards. That's how it works."

Tiki: "Ok...I'll just have to live with being one of the top 5 backs in all of football then. Fair enough. It's more important that the team wins."

ha I was just venting some steam about how Tiki isn't scoring. In fact IMO if he wanted to score it's possible he'd be in the game more in red zone situations.

FWP is not a goal line back and yet he scored 5 times last year (and 10 times this year)

Tiki is on a pace to have over 2000 total yards and 2 TDs

I don't think any back in history has had so many yards and so few TDs.

Well it's all good I didn't even start Tiki last night since I had a feeling he'd 'pull a Tiki' it's sad that the Bears defence is 5x more likely to score a TD than the starting RB of the NYG.

Not to keep knocking on you, but unless we have a 20 game season he's not on pace for 2000 yards. :D

FWP is a goal line back now. Look at yesterday.

I was thinking he may be, but last year he was not.

Possibly Tiki will break off a few long runs, but the red zone is where it's at, and Jacobs didn't even get touched on his TDs last night, I have a feeling Tiki would be able to carry a time or two in the goal line.

That's because there's no Bus any more and the Steelers are using more inventive goal line running, breaking it outside rather than smashing it through the middle.

The Giants have the perfect weapon in Jacobs to just ram it down the defense's throats from inside the 5.

Sorry I was putting down Tiki, just messing, but he is not a Stud at least in my league, he's like Addai, Chester Taylor, Duece etc.. in other words even tho he'll have many total yards, he's not scoring points.

A guy like Addi who is a RBBC (is just as good) even tho he will only have half the yards of Tiki but he'll score more than once every 9 games.

nothing to add on the OP, the previous posts covered it.

Tiki is ranked #5 in my league and is practically a lock to break 100 rushing yards every game. My league has a 5 point bonus at 100, so that's as good as a TD. I knew he wasn't going to be a super-stud and win games single handedly, but I did know he was going to get me points every week.

They're keeping him fresh. They're thinking playoffs, not how your fantasy team is doing.

IC

I guess then SD and KC don't care about the play-offs?

IMO<> a touch or two at the goal lind wouldn't hurt, might as well let him rest the whole season if they are just worried about the play-offs as he can get hurt between the 10s just as well.

He had 54 TDs in the previous 6 years, so figure 9 a year, he's on a pace for 2 TDs this year.

You took a yardage guy in a TD heavy league. 1 TD on the year is poor, but them's the breaks.

he's a yardage guy, but he had 26 TDs (combined) in 04 and 05 so I was expecting a few TDs here and there. Edited by rai
