Ice717
Haven't been able to watch the Cowboys too much this year. Whats going on with the running situation in Dallas? Is tuna losing faith in Jones or did they run Barber cause they were up big and didn't want him to get hurt? Any info would be great. CowboysDiehard
They always plug Barber in around the goal line and later in games. In fact, he's been promoted to 'starter' on my team where I have them both. It's a classic RBBC similar to the one you see with Tiki/Jacobs in NY. Wolv
They combined for 29 rushes. Parcells knows JJ can't take that kind of workload alone. The RBBC in Dallas is working to preserve his health and keep him fresh. Cowboys are top 10 in the league in rushing - the system is working well. On a personal note, I think Barber would make for a better workhorse, with JJ coming in as a COP/3rd down back. Barber is more explosive, and breaks a lot more tackles. Cowboyz1
Here is the scoop. Julius has the speed and shiftyness to break home runs but rarely does. He runs hard and gets yards quickly. He trys to elude tacklers and keep rollin. On pace for 1000 yards this year. As a defender you can just hit JJ any ole kind of way and he will eventually go down. That's not the case with Barber. You had better plan on how to hit this guy or you will be face down counting sheep. Barber is just flat fun to watch. He would rather run you over and keep going then elude you. He looks for tacklers to hit and run over. He breaks more big plays in the passing game then Julius does as his hands are better. Also Barber will flat out pick up the blitz with in your face efficiency. He will smack you in the mouth and tell you "that's always here waitin for ya". Julius picks up the blitz also but Barber PICKS UP THE BLITZ. Parcells loves that kind of runner. Funny thing is that Barber breaks bigger plays then JJ so far. In a nut shell Julius = Hard speed runner Barber = Smashmouth runner with great hands They will both be running all year. Barber will get the TD from inside the 10 while JJ will have to get his from outside the 10 which equates to Barber with 10+ short TD runs and JJ with longer TD rushes but few of them.
