alexgaddis
And TEs are supposed to be a big part of the West Coast offense. This is a problem. The problem is that although Wiggins has good hands, he has no ability to run after the catch which is important in the WCO...he's a big, slow, sure handed oaf... Sure, but if we even just park his ass five yards down field and flip it to him every other play, we'll still be doing a heckuva lot better than we have been. Granted, he's slow, but he can jump over any defender! As far as the defense goes, keep in mind, 9 of the 11 starters are the same players they had last year. It's not like they've brought in a bunch of new guys to play defense. Up until recently, the new Cover 2 scheme has been working pretty good. Especially against the run. But opposing teams are realizing we have the same weakness as last year, and that is our linebackers cannot cover my grandmother running a pattern over the middle. Take note of the last few games, they're not getting beat on deep routes or sideline routes, its the short stuff over the middle, and then the receiver being able to turn it into a big play. Napolean Harris being out has really hurt that...
Hugh 0ne
and that is our linebackers cannot cover my grandmother running a pattern over the middle. Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner. As for Wiggins, they're keeping him in to block because the O-line's pass blocking has been sub-par and Johnson has the mobility of an injured turtle. MikesVikes
With Tice gone, I wonder if they could talk Dante into coming back? Childress and Daunte didn't get along from the start.
