Wally
I was hoping that the Chargers would lose a coule of games w/ Merriman out of the lineup, causing them to play LT late in the season while trying to lock up home field advantage. But after last week's comeback against Cincy, if they don't lose to Denver, I'm worried that they may clinch home field early and rest LT for the playoffs. Is anyone else having these same concerns? Is anyone thinking about trying to trade him for LJ (whose team should be pushing for the playoffs til the bitter end)?
MonkeyOne
Worried? Yes. LT owners should have/get Turner. Edited November 14, 2006 by MonkeyOne
Tally
If they beat KC this weekend then maybe just a little bit but still not really. DEN is the top seed in that divison and IND is the top seed in the AFC. It looks like SD will be fighting for higher playoff seed and/or more home field games the rest of the way out. I wouldnt worry about LT. I'd be much more worried about any IND players you may have.
MothAudio
I wouldnt worry about LT. I'd be much more worried about any IND players you may have. I have a three-headed monster with Colston, Ro.Williams and Wayne at WR and yeah, I'm guessing they'll start resting Reggie down the stretch. Looks like I'll ust have to get back to plan "A" and play three RBs instead.

Tomlinson owners should be more concerned that they are catching DEN twice in the next 4 weeks, including a FF playoff week. DEN has traditionally been tough on LT, holding him on average 11% below his career rushing average, 35% below his career receiving average, and 28% below his career scoring average. LT has done a 3 TD game vs DEN - once, but he's also been blanked 6 times. Don't expect those gigantic FF games vs the DEN D. But that is still a tough game for them. SD is getting way to much love on these boards.
MothAudio
SD is getting way to much love on these boards. Why is that? Their 7-2. Lost two games by 6 points total. Have the best player in the game [real or fantasy], the most potent offense in the NFL and when they get their defensive starters back come playoff time have a nasty DEF. And it's not all LT, Rivers won that last game as much as he did. I'm not "crowning them" but I like our chances.

But let's not overlook the fact that they have played only 2 teams with winning record this year & lost to both of them, and have run up their record against the likes of OAK, TEN, SF, PIT, & CLE. There are still very legitimate questions to be answered about this team. This week's game at DEN in a nationally televised game would be a good way to add to their credibility as legit contenders. Tally
Why is that? Beacuse there seems to be more threads about SD than any other team around here and they havent won anything yet. I agree with you they do have an excellent team but alot of people seem to want to crown them the champs after only 9 games and that just aint right. Although the next matchup will be in SD and we have many key defensive starters hurt right now.
MothAudio
Ok, even as a SD fan I'll admit they have been getting a lot of luv lately.
slickvick
I doubt it.Denver and San Diego will be fighting this thing out tooth and nail all the way until the end trying to get the division crown and a first round bye along with the Colts. Chargerz
To answer the original question posed in this thread, I only see LT sitting the last game of the year against Arizona. By that time most leagues have had their super bowls. The Bolts will need him playing prior to that last game just to assure a playoff spot and possible home field advantage.
