Reche Caldwell

Is Reche Caldwell becoming the main man in New England? Since the bye week he has had the following performances:

@ BUF = 5, 22 (+1 run for 5 yds)

@ MIN = 7, 84, 1 TD

v. IND = 1, 21

v. NYJ = 9, 90, 1 TD

Except for the Colts game he has gotten a lot of looks. Anyone think he might be a decent FA pickup, or is it just another Tom Brady illusion I'm seeing here?

Gabriel wasn't played at all after he fumbled in the 2nd quarter against the Jets.

I'm not sure what impact that had on Caldwell's numbers as he sees a lot of snaps anyway.

Caldwell was with the Pats and healthy from day one this year (unlike Gabriel, Jackson, Gaffney), and he hasn't done anything to negatively impact his playing time.

Without Chad Jackson making any major contribution, Caldwell is probably the best option right now.

I drafted Caldwell because I really thought he would shine there. I think SD got rid of him too quick after the knee injury. Of course, I figured I was wrong after the first 5 games or so, dropped him, and now he's not available in my leagues. :D
