Since the bye week he has had the following performances: @ BUF = 5, 22 (+1 run for 5 yds) @ MIN = 7, 84, 1 TD v. IND = 1, 21 v. NYJ = 9, 90, 1 TD Except for the Colts game he has gotten a lot of looks. Anyone think he might be a decent FA pickup, or is it just another Tom Brady illusion I'm seeing here? KevinL Posted November 15, 2006 Share Posted November 15, 2006 I think Caldwell is a decent option, realizing that he will not be consistently great, but he should get you something each game with occasional TD's. charty Posted November 15, 2006 Share Posted November 15, 2006 (edited) Gabriel wasn't played at all after he fumbled in the 2nd quarter against the Jets. I'm not sure what impact that had on Caldwell's numbers as he sees a lot of snaps anyway. Caldwell was with the Pats and healthy from day one this year (unlike Gabriel, Jackson, Gaffney), and he hasn't done anything to negatively impact his playing time. Without Chad Jackson making any major contribution, Caldwell is probably the best option right now. The Irish Doggy Posted November 21, 2006 Share Posted November 21, 2006 I drafted Caldwell because I really thought he would shine there. I think SD got rid of him too quick after the knee injury.
