Donny Kerabatsos
Traveling to Denver from Seattle for the game in a few weeks and am looking for a good steakhouse that is not in Seattle (Mortons and Ruth Chris). I have come up with Del Friscos and Sullivans. It looks like they both are chains so any advice would be appreciated for those who have been. Any Denver homers who know a local spot? 'canes2004
You cannot go wrong with Del Friscos. Great food and awesome service. Easily worth the money.
Apathy
Not a Denver homer and have not been to either of those places but Gallagher's (think it's a small nationwide chain) made a great steak.
twiley
I went to the Denver Steak & Chophouse when I was in Denver and enjoyed it.

Both are great places, I always prefer Del Frisco's steaks, service and setting! Sullivan's is a little more laid back and just a notch below Del Frisco's. Both are owned by Lone Star Rest. I used to go to Morton's before we had a Del Frisco's... I have not been to a Mortons for 6 years. So, which night are you taking all the Denver Huddlers to Del Frisco's??? Del Frisco's also has a killer cigar lounge, if you smoke em I suggest you bring your own (their walk in humi. is pricey, but well stocked)and have a cigar and before dinner drink; repeat again after dinner! Azazello1313
you might think about one of the non-chain places. like 1515, or elway's in cherry creek.

I didn't think 1515 was known for it's steaks... I'll have to try it sometime! Elways is pretty damn good, especially the Bone in Ribeye, ask for the 24 oz cut... Had it with a nice 02 Alec's Blend... yummy!

I'll have to try it sometime! only thing i've ever had there is a burger (dam good)...but one of my co-workers said they serve some really great steaks, including buffalo. speaking of which, the buckhorn exchange (which makes a big deal out of being the oldest restaurant in denver) is known for serving up pretty good steaks from various critters (buffalo, elk, etc.). might be another good denver-only choice. Enjoyed the Buckhorn when I was there in September. Went ot the Keg as well (across from Chop House) and enjoyed that as well.
