Kansas State 2000
After Romo's great throw to Owens to set up the 45-yards chance ... IDIOT KICKER misses his second of the game.
kpholmes
It's nice how he's so predictable though. My buddies and I said they should just go for the hail mary, because Vandy won't make anything outside of 30.

ts
I wonder if Parcells will be checking his roll-o-dex at halftime, trying to find that old phone number for Ali Haji-Sheikh.
Skrappy1
They need to cut him. I wouldn't be surprised if they do. He'll get another job, but Parcells doesn't take kindly to kickers who can't do their job.
kpholmes
They need to cut him. Thats something that's shocked me; knowing Parcell and his history with any player that sucks, you'd think Vandy would have been cut weeks ago. He consistantly misses. ThatDude
The cowboys could have went after Vinetari but they wanted to save a few bucks and went after Vandy.

Big Dogs
Correction...... After Romo's great throw to Owens to set up the 45-yards chance ... LIQUORED UP IDIOT KICKER misses his second of the game.

Bill Swerski
LOL, I'm so glad that this trash-talking, can't-make-kicks-in-critical-situations d0uche is somebody else's problem now.
CowboysDiehard
They need to cut him. +1 We don't need no steenkin keekers anyway. Drop him and bring in another d-lineman. Edited November 20, 2006 by CowboysDiehard
Rockerbraves
+1 We don't need no steenkin keekers anyway. Drop him and bring in another d-lineman. Might get one more week, but if you heard Parcell post game he said he's worried. That doesn't seem like any kind of vote of confidence for a kicker. Think if I were Vanderjagt I would go get wasted tonight.

Skilly
I was thinking the same thing when I saw this post. It really is interesting that Parcells hasn't brought in another kicker at this point. If you watched, even Vandy's extra points were pulling to the right. The guy just doesn't have it anymore---there is no way Parcells can still have any confidence in him. This whole thing smells like another Jerry Jones deal gone bad. Jerry did the shopping, and now Bill has to cook with bad produce.
Cowboyz1
Wide Right every time. Mechanics, all Mechanics. The ball goes straight but from the right hash it is always wide. Even his PAT's are going right. He better get it together because he changed the game today in two ways. One, we sure could have used those 6 points late in the game. Two, we had to go for it on 3rd down to keep the ball out of Mannings hands instead to running it and kicking a game securing field goal. What exactly did we get with our millions? I can't seem to remember...........Parcells will have none of it. We will see a kicker in practice the next couple of weeks, that you can be sure of. LooGie
Wasn't there rumors in the preseason that Vandy wasn't even going to make the final cut because of his preseason performance and injury issues? Adam Schein from Sirius went to cowboys training camp and said downright flat out he was extremely worried about Vandershank. He saw him miss 5 chipshots in TC and we know the rest... Wolv
From Cowboys website: On whether or not Parcells has to worry about him, however, Vanderjagt said all is well. "No, he doesn't have a reason to be (worried)," he said. "Just because somebody makes a mistake doesn't mean they're done. I'm pretty good at what I do and I had a bad day." And how many bad days is that now, ShankMaster? If I had that many bad days at my job I'd be loading trucks at UPS now...
devilwoman
Kick him the hell off that team Parcells, what the hell is going on out there...
General Itals
That guy kicks like I try to hit golf balls out of a sand trap. A ton of force on the down swing and absolutely no follow through after hitting the ball. Worst mechanics I've ever seen from a kicker. I remember seeing him before this season and he wasn't using those yumped up mechanics then. Not to defend this stiff, but he must have some serious hammy issues if he's afraid to kick through the ball.
Bill Swerski
From Cowboys website: And how many bad days is that now, ShankMaster? In the post-game interview, Parcells said that he's worried about him, despite Vandershank's "Don't worry about me, coach" comment. I foresee Vanderchoke getting cut and the Cowboys signing a free agent kicker this week.

major-tom
He's done. The new kindler gentler Vanderjagt is a shell of his liquored up idiot self.
General Itals
I doubt they cut him. Doing so would mean Jerry and Bill admitting a mistake. I don't think either have the fortitude to do that. Besides, I don't know of anything better out there. Bill will just have to work around his idiot kicker, which means that I doubt you will see them taking to many 40+ yard field goals early in a game or in situaions where setting the other team up with good field position could turn the tide of a game. Wolv
I mentioned in another post that they should bring back Suisham. Even if Suisham misses as much as Vandershank, his kickoffs are much more productive. With Suisham, you're not really losing any accuracy and you gain field position. I bet if the Boys lost by 6 or fewer points we'd be reading about Vandy's release today...
