Ursa Majoris
We were up to about 150 and accelerating when we had to stand on the brakes when a car exited from I-270.This was between Sunbury Rd. and I-270 on 161 here in Columbus. This is in my buddy's 76 Vette which is being completely upgraded in my garage as we speak. All new suspension, etc. The new motor should be about 500 HP with about 530 fp of torque. The old was 450-470. 100 in a lambo=sissy. At that speed all I'd be able to think about would be the fragility and bursting incidence of tires. Plus I'd be sure to have worn brown pants. mitpdub
DUI? Resisting arrest? What is wrong with this guy? Doesn't anyone learn? Nothing but a freaking POS in my book and he shold be on his knees thanking someone upstairs that he did not do harm to anyone. Let's hope that he learns his lesson and will never step in an automobile like that -- or worse -- ever again. No kidding, if this was in another place like San Diego, maybe he would've been shot
Jimmy Neutron
I wonder what his problem is. He should be able to get 180 out of a Lamborghini.

Driving fast is one of the true pleasures in life. Life gets a lot more interesting when that white dashed line becomes solid. Eyeball distorting speed is great, but I think the funnest thing I've done in a car is diving into a hard corner in 5th, dropping to second and trying to straighen 'er out on the back side. Tweaked 911 Turbo on a mountain road - still gives me wood. You've lived my dream, Bier. One of my "to do" vacations is to rent a supercar, run the autobahn and wear out a set of rubber in a few hours.
mitpdub
150 in germany and austria... still had more in it. I thought I would be able to hit that in my old tweeked A4 on Hwy 5 going to SoCal, but at around 130 the car would auto throttle down and wouldn't resume until it went down to 100. The damn limiter took all the fun out of it because it felt like I could have taken the needle all the way to 150.
