Arthur Blank had to calm MV down, telling him Jr is the coach not Sr. I heard he told Vick he shouldn't blame the son for the father's statements. They didn't blame him for the problems of his father.

Of course no one denied then truthfulness of the statement. :D

Old news...this happened like a week ago.

Well I just got back from a camping trip with no access ...

Nice :D Blitz

Another fine example of reporting half the news from Blitz, or at least reporting the news in a manner that most benefits The Blitz position. Your act is getting old.

I caught that interview live and, while Mora Sr was critical of Vick, he also framed and defined his position. There was a hell of a lot more to that interview than Vick is a coach killer.

Mora was far more diplomatic than what you are suggesting.

:D whether or not he was "far more diplomatic" or not the underlying message is the same

"It worries me a little bit because my son is the head coach down there," Mora added. "But he's a great athlete, my son likes him a lot, he's a good kid. But he's not a passer. And you need a passer at quarterback to be successful consistently in the National Football League. And he ain't getting it done in that category."

But Vick hasn't performed like a franchise player over the last three weeks, completing less than 50 percent of his throws (44 of 93) with more interceptions (four) than touchdowns (three). In addition, he's lost two crucial fumbles without being hit by the defense -- the first leading to a touchdown in a loss to Detroit, the second ruining hopes of pulling off a comeback win against Cleveland.

The last two weeks I have simply passed on statements about Vick from the people that YOU told me have supported Vick as a top notch NFL QB.

Oh ... and do tell ... what was the "other half" of the news?

:D

Why don't you watch the whole Mora SR interview for yourself Blitz, & not just rely on ESPN's edited take of it. :D

Oh! and here's some statements from various NFL analysts about Vick as a NFL QB.

Ron Jaworski on Vick:

He's starting to evolve into a very good quarterback, as he's started to mature and stop relying on his physical gifts.

He now goes through his progressions and doesn't just run the ball the moment his first option is covered. He's proving he's going to be a terrific quarterback in the long term, as he's realized what he needs to do to be great. He can make any throw in the league and he's starting to understand what that means.

KC Joyner on Vick:

The good news is that Vick seems to be getting into synch with his young receivers, Michael Jenkins and Roddy White, and that might help reduce both the drop and inaccurate pass issues.'

'If he continues to develop the passing skills he showed in this stretch, he'll be taking a step closer to becoming Elway.

Len Pasta Belly on Vick:

As incongruous as it sounds, you throw from the feet up, and Vick's footwork in the past has been so sloppy that it has precluded him from having a real chance at upgrading his marksmanship. But, on most occasions, he was a drop, plant, square-the-shoulders, rotate-into-the-throw passer. There have been few of the mechanical lapses that have marked his motion in the past, and Vick lauded the offseason work put in by new quarterbacks coach Bill Musgrave, who has spent a ton of hours with the star. Musgrave owns the reputation of being a stickler, a guy who will hound his pupils when they make mistakes. But Vick, who many felt might chafe under his stewardship, has taken well to the approach.

Vick has already fumbled the ball (but recovered by his team mate). He needs to fix that problem.

Why did he fumble? Was he trying to run again instead of throw? I'm sure Big Score 1 will find a way to blame it on somebody else. Maybe it's part of the game plan for the Falcons.

So ... as I'm watching the ATL-NO game today Vick fumbled the ball trying to run and got lucky that it was recovered by his own team.

Then he threw the ball BEHIND Roddy White and high in the end zone. White had to stop and attempt to leap backward to catch the ball. White did manage to get his hands on the ball though.

I'm sure it was the O-Lines fault for the fumble and the coach's fault for the poor throw. Vick was just trying to be great and there are always others who ruin it for him.

That's funny because last week Jaws said he thought Vick was FINALLY starting to get it and then he lays eggs against Detroit and Cleveland and that he had NO CLUE which Vick would show up to the game that week or any week.

Roddy & the defender were racing neck & neck for the endzone. Roddy pulled up for the ball as the defender ran right by him. The high arcing ball then fell right into White's hands, no defender around him & White dropped it.

There was no "Leaping backwards" by White.

You're so full of chit Blitz. :D

It was a bit high, but he did get his hands on it. Certainly could have used the points, I decided to start Vick over Leinart this weekend.

:D

Not sure how an arcing bomb that's falling down into White's hands, could have been a bit high?

It is those rose colored glasses you are wearing.

When he tried to make the catch his feet were toward the end zone and his body was at an angle toward the opposite end zone. He had to jump against his momentum.

But yeah it's not Vick's fault.

I'd have to say that's your Vick hating glasses you're wearing. Roddy ran his defender off him & then yes he stopped for the ball & had to lean back for it a bit.

But that was not "leaping backwards".

As we type it's now 1st & Goal from the 7 from a 51 yard run by Vick.

But we all know from you, that scrambling QB's don't help their teams :D
