Menudo
What are you talking about, the referees have a conspiracy AGAINST the Seahawks. Weren't you aware of that ? If you need help, Madam Bushwacked can give you a lesson.

Ah screw it What where my expectations for the packers at the beginning of the season 3 or 4 wins. At least I have some hope for next year and as far a fantasy goes I have hassleback and even after that disaster of a 1st half he still got me 19 points and the win. alwaysrocking
That makes two of us. On the other hand that call yesterday in the san diego game that wasn't a fumble gave tomlison a td and that would have given the guy in my league with him a loss and at least for now knocked him out the playoffs. dam refs again. We all know no one wants to play someone who has tomlinson in ff playoffs if we don't have too.
Rovers
Just another bad call, we get what, about 3 or 4 blatantly bad "roughing the passer" calls like this every week? Heck, even Joey didn't like that one. That idiot, the head of Refs, said several weeks ago on the NFL Network that the refs should throw the flag if it even crosses their minds. Any doubt at all, throw the flag. It's ruining the game.

They go at the qb hard make a great play and get a major 15 yard penalty for it. Just think back to the xfl they did some good ideas didn't they as far as letting the players play. Oh what why don't we just put 3 flags on the qb if you get them all then the qb is down. Won't that protect the poor quarterbacks. It's getting silly as the "in the grasp" rule, they used to have to protect QB's.

I've always hated the calls for hits on the QB. I understand the concept of protecting the QB, but, it has gotten out of hand. Some of these calls are simply ridiculous, and, it seems to get worse every year.
Fatman
The pregame crew was talking about how the competition commitee would have to look at the the QB protection in the offseason, referring to Kiwi not throwing down Vince Young because apparently he was afraid of getting a penalty. Then they have a completely bogus call in the game. Like it was said before, that Pack had their chances early on. That call was a back-breaker, however. Do what that idiot from the giants did yesterday against tennesee. That call was worse than your grammar, no question. If this keeps up, we are going to see more plays like Kiwaunuka letting Young get free after wrapping him for fear of a penalty. Does the league not understand how much this kind of nonsense is affecting the game? Edited November 28, 2006 by Bronco Billy

Bronco Billy
Sure they do but as long as the $$$$$$$$ keep rolling in, why would they give a rats ass what we think? Funny, that's just what the Colorado Rockies' ownership thought when they saw the team draw 3M to 4M fans despite putting a mediocre product on the field. Now they can't give away tickets because they simply assumed the fans would stupidly keep paying for a crappy product. The NFL could learn a lesson from the NBA also in that regard. There will come a point where the owners of a product will denegrate it enough that fans will simply not be captured by it enough to spend enormous dollars to watch it, or to be interested in watching anything but their own team on television. The NFL has already laid a couple of eggs on MNF. Our collective stupidity isn't limitless.

You mean being proactive instead of reactive is out of vogue? I would think vets of the NFL would be sickened by watching what is now called professional football when they see crap like this. One would hope that the management would solicit opinions of those who have played the game in the past in order to make some meaningful decisions in regard to the direction the game is going.
