Kansas State 2000
Look at the month of November and the numbers put up for the month by Tony Romo. November: Yards: 1124 Touchdowns: 9 Interceptions: 1 Completion Percentage: 72.6 Rating: 124.7 Year To Date numbers: Yards: 1656 Touchdowns: 13 Interceptions: 5 Completion Percentage: 69.4 Rating: 110.8 Romo's 110.8 QB rating is over 10 points more than the next guy (P. Manning). He is 4-1 as a starter with the only loss coming on a blocked kick. Dallas was two games back in the NFC East and now are one game up. I thought the test would be Carolina … then I thought Indianapolis … now is it the Giants? No matter WHAT??? happens he's had an incredible month. The Next Generation
He's been great at managing a game, but eventually defensive coordinators will have seen enough of him to make things a lot tougher on him. But congrats so far, he's a hell of an upgrade over Bledsoe and makes the team a lot better. Loved the 41 pts he got me last week in my local $ league! Hated the 4 pts the week before, though. cdrudge
Just remember that he can fall back down just as quickly as shot up that list. Rex Grossman First 5 Games: 93 of 152 for 1243 yards, 10 TDs and 3 interceptions for a QB passer rating of 100.85 Last 4 Games: 62 of 128, 751 yards passing, 5 TDs and 7 interceptions for a QB passer rating of 57.13 He is having a great start and an excellent month, but he also hasn't been going against cream of the crop defenses either. Hat Trick
So if he's so stellar and such a good player....why has he been fodder for all these years when they were playing scrubs at QB over him?
cre8tiff
So if he's so stellar and such a good player....why has he been fodder for all these years when they were playing scrubs at QB over him? Kurt Warner Syndrome? Anyway, why is five game's worth of film better than four, or three? They certainly tallied up Lienart within two. I think the system is simply working for him, no more, no less. Looks like all the boys have needed is someone who can actually move around behind the line. Add to that receivers who can adjust and make catches, and you get success. Would be an interesting stat to see amount of hurries logged by opposing teams before Romo started and after. True enough. But Romo has already faced 2 teams with winning records (and 1 was undefeated). The Bears face only THREE teams with winning records all season. Any NFL QB facing a schedule like that SHOULD have decent QB ratings... Granted, the hype may be premature, but I'd take Romo over Grossman anyday.... CaP'N GRuNGe
Another Tony Romo thread. Wonderful. Don't worry, your Aaron Rodgers threads are just around the corner.

Ingle Martin is a much better QB than Aaron Rodgers, he just played at Furman for college so people didn't see him.
Wolv
So if he's so stellar and such a good player....why has he been fodder for all these years when they were playing scrubs at QB over him? Part of it was his development. He had to adjust his throwing mechanics - that takes time. I also read somewhere that Jerry Jones was definitely reluctant in having Romo as the starter, so I'm sure that factored into Parcells' decisions. The Drew Henson failure of a project probably also attributed to stunting Romo's development. Obviously Romo was a project from the start. When do you see an undrafted QB thrown in as a starter his first 2 years?
Kid Cid
Roethlisberger is the next Trent Dilfer. Ergo, Romo is the next after next Trent Dilfer.

Old School!! That's the way it used to be ... teach the player to play then allow him to do it. If they played him right out of the box he'd be another Eli Manning.
