From Frederick Miller

better known as Miller Brewing. Just found a 4 pack for $5.43. Gonna try some tonight.

Classic Chocolate Lager will be available from October through December 2006 in six Midwestern markets; Chicago, Wisconsin, Minneapolis, Cleveland, Indianapolis and Valparaiso/Northwest Indiana.

It seems that a chocolate lager would be a little thinner than necessary and a stout woulda been more in line

yeah, definitely, that was my first thought. why make a chocolate lager, when other styles -- porter and stout in particular -- would be so much better suited? the answer, i guess, is that miller is making it.

I had a Tommyknocker Cocoa Porter last year in Idaho Springs at the brewery and loved it. They didn't bottle it last year, but are bottling this year. I picked up a six pack last weekend and if you like this style, you'll like this one!

yep--much easier to just squirt some Hershey's syrup into your normal beer than to develop something new
