whomper
Just curious..Have any of you been playing fantasy football for a long time and have yet to win a league ? Any of you have a good chance of breaking the drought this year ? I won my main local about 5 years ago and it was a hugh monkey off of my back..what got me thinking of this is there is a guy in my main local that was a founding member of our league and in 13 years he has never won one. Whiskey Pimp
I won my very first year (7 or 8 years ago) but haven't won since.
broncosn05
I won my very first year (7 or 8 years ago) but haven't won since. I'll be going championless in 4 leagues this year most likely. Even sadder I have Gore in all of them.
HowboutthemCowboys
I'm ringless. Shoulda been in the Super Bowl last year with a great chance to win it all. Instead Kurt Warner got hurt in the first quarter that week and I lost by 8 points.
sacosud
I went to the champoinship in "98" and won it. I went to the show in 2004 and lost. I will not be going to playoffs this season. I have missed the playoffs only twice. I think this is okay, however not happy with the drought.
heydave76
I've never won. Been playing since 1999. Had no idea what I was doing in the first year. I didn't even know they had fantasy football magazines. When I heard about the huddle it really helped my team a lot. I play in a keeper league (10 players kept). I have Manning and Wayne. Seems they're always resting come playoff time. Hopefully San Diego stays on the Colts heals this year. Maybe then I'll have a chance. CaP'N GRuNGe
I won a ring in 2000 and then a long drought until last year where I won my second. I'm in contention this year in 3 leagues, but realistically only have a shot in 2 of them. I'll take that. Playoff FF. What could be better? (Except when you lose.) xMRogers
In my main "local" (half of us have moved since we started it) league that I commish, I won it in '95, my first year. Thinking "this is easy", i took it over, have run for 10 years, and never won again (never even made championship game again). Looks good for playoffs this year, but we got one of those 'once every five years, one team through skill and luck gets a ridiculous lineup' teams, so not holding out hope of ending drought. PaulOttCarruth
I've won several championships in other leagues, but I've been playing in my main local since around '89. Been to the dance 4 times--second most of any franchise. Lost every one. I'm 11-1 this year with the #1 seed and intend to end the drought. lawn saver
I played 2 years in the early 90's and won my second year with Emmit and Moon after that I took 10 years off. I have now been in the same 8 team, re-draft league for 4 years In 2003 I places 3rd, 2004 I placed 2nd, 2005 I had 2 teams and I place 3rd with my team and 1st with my partnered team, this year my team has a 2 game lead in first and my partneded team is 1 game out of 3rd. Chavez
In my main local (6 man keeper) - joined in '96 - I'm a 4 time champion - rode Faulk and Warner to titles in 99, 00, and 01 - and for good measure, won again in 03 using J Lewis, CJ, Gonzo (big part of the first 3 titles too), T Henry, and Hass/McNair at QB. In the league I run (1 man keeper), the Iron League of Fantasy Football - I won once in '99. In another league I've been in for 5-6 yrs, the Trailer Trash Fantasy Football (complicated, w/salcaps and contracts) league, I have a title in '04 and made the championship game last year. In the My Money Fantasy Football league (redraft) where I've co-owned a team for 2 years, LJ carried us to the title game last year, but we lost. In my BOTH leagues (defunct Corleone Family for 4 years, first year of NORRIS) I'm title-less for the duration - I got eliminated from the playoff chase last week. So I've had a pretty good run. It feels like forever since I won a title, but I guess it hasn't been that long.
keggerz
Last year I won the HUDDLE IDP LEAGUE and I retired from Corleone prior to last year as the reigning 2 time champ Won my local the last year I was in it(moved). GMX is only 2 years old but it stung to not win the title last year after going 12-1 in the reg. season...this year I am 10-2 going into this week and if i win I think I get a bye but getting to the SB wont be easy at all Just to get to the SB I will have to get past one of these 2 teams for a 2nd time this yr: Digital Dan Vick Edge Parker Westbrook Plaxico Coles Watson Scobee TCole Bryan Thomas 3 of these LBs (KMorrison, Greenwood, Merriman, THoward GHayes, BMoore, Shanle) Schweigert DBullocks SSpencer Los Gigantes Romo LT Tiki Ronnie Brown Djax Harrison Horn or Glenn if Brown cant go Shockey Wilkins Grant Wilfork or Geathers or Rucker Urlacher Bulluck Simms Rhodes Hope SWilliams My Team: Hass or Favre Rudi Chester SSmith Chad Johnson Roy Williams LJ Smith or Desmond Clark Kaeding Peppers Strahan if he gets healthy if not Bernard or Carrington Vilma Pierce DEwards RWilliams Dawkins RMathis Edit: those are what I would guess those teams would start our rosters are 40 players with a 13 player DTS...16 teams for those that didnt know I was lucky enough to beat both those teams this yr but for some reason i dont feel good about a rematch with either. So I think this could be the year the monkey latches firmly onto my back Edited December 2, 2006 by keggerz
kingfish247
Have any of you been playing fantasy football for a long time and have yet to win a league ? Any of you have a good chance of breaking the drought this year ? i lost in the championship of my IDP league last year by .5 pts. i may or may not win one this year. my only 2 teams are in the top 3 of both leagues. to say i have a good chance and mean it would be like the kiss of death IMHO so i'll say i have NO chance. The Vatican Hitsquad
Been in the same League for 12 years now and i'm 1-3 in the Championship game, my only win coming in '02 but my most recent loss was last year (LT's end of season declining performance killed my team). Rovers
If I don't win this year, that will make it a 3 year slump. In my local it's honestly been injuries, in my BOTH, I have to blame my drafting. But, I have a shot at the title in my second year of dynasty/IDP play, so fingers crossed.... Roadrunner
I won four titles in one local league, and one title in each of three other leagues (last title was 2 years ago), but in a dynasty league I've been playing in since '99, I have yet to even make the playoffs. With a win this week, that drought would be over. As far as a title in that league, it probably won't happen this year, but as you all know, once you're in the playoffs, anything can happen. NSab
I have won one at least every other year or so since '

Puddy
That's why I'm now in 6 leagues. Figure sooner or later I'm going to win one of these sumbeeches.

Puddy
Haven't won in almost a year now. Yeah, actually I can't remember the last time I ended a season in the red (collectively). It may happen this year however. Edited December 3, 2006 by Puddy
jaxfactor
I took me 11 years to finally win my original/local TD-only league. Started in 1993 and finally won in 2004, the same year I joined the Huddle. I'm snake bitten in that league, but I'm glad i can at least say I won a title. I do much better in performance leagues. I was invited into another local performance league in 1998. I won my first year, played in Super Bowl and lost 2nd year and won again my 3rd year. 2 years ago I squeeked into the playoffs with a 7-7 record, beat the #1 seed(he was 13-1) in the first round and again won the Super Bowl. Too much luck involved in TD-only leagues and I just don't seem to have it. It's hard to drop out of my original local though. It got me started so I turn in my donation every year.
