SaintsFanUnfortunately
Michigan is a great team, no argument there. But they had their shot at Ohio St. and lost in their last game of the regular season finishing 2nd in the Big Ten. Florida is a 12-1 conference champion with the #1 toughest SOS in the country. I feel that the BCS will be making a huge mistake if Florida does not play Ohio St. for the national title. Other predictions: Michigan should play USC in the Rose Bowl, LSU should play Wake Forest in the Orange, and Notre Dame should play Louisville in the Sugar Bowl. Oh yeah, in that other game, OU/Nebraska winner and Boise St in the Fiesta Bowl. Let the howling begin.
GWPFFL BrianW
Michigan vs USC in the Rose Bowl? I'm THERE! Big Ten vs Pac 10 in the grand daddy of em all, the way it's supposed to be. Let Ohio State tear apart Florida is what I say.

SaintsFanUnfortunately
Can't wait to see the ratings on that Wake Forest bowl game. Â I am with you on that, it won't be great, but should be as exciting as the Fiesta stinker. But we should have 3 games that are pretty interesting, two for sure. wiegie
Can't wait to see the ratings on that Wake Forest bowl game. Â Wake Forest should get to go to the Rose Bowl instead of Michigan because Wake Forest won its conference while Michigan didn't. Â right? Puddy
This is a great situation for anti-BCS people. No matter which team is selected, the other team has a legitimate gripe about being left out of the title game. I'm all for a playoff (which may never happen), but I do think we get a much better title game using this format. Every year 2 of the best 3 teams are in the title game. With a playoff, that won't happen.

GWPFFL BrianW
With no playoff, you'd have Ohio State facing off with USC, and Florida vs Michigan in the Sugar Bowl. Still pretty good match ups, but #1 would be playing #6 or whatever USC ends up.

'canes2004
The plus one game would put OSU/LSU-USC in the Fiesta and Florida/Michigan in the Rose/Sugar. Two great match-ups and then two deserving winners playing for it all.
'canes2004
Think you mean LSU vs. Ohio State right? Â Would depend on how far the voters/computer dropped USC. Both have 2 losses.

GWPFFL BrianW
With no BCS, and the old traditional way of doing things... the Big Ten Champion (Ohio State) plays the Pac 10 Champion (USC) in the Rose Bowl. the SEC Champion (Florida) goes to the Sugar Bowl to play an at large team, in this case likely Michigan.
wiegie
Nice try wiegie. You keep waving that Big Ten flag. I don't really give two sh|ts about the Big Ten. My argument would be the same no matter what conference ended up having the first and second best teams in the country.

untateve
I have an admitted bias but I'm relatively sure that God wants to see the Gators play for the National Championship.
GWPFFL BrianW
Yeah has nothing to do with the SEC having 2 top 4 teams, especially since both of them I predict will lose (IF florida plays OSU, and LSU plays USC). If you didn't notice, the Big Ten, has 2 teams in the top 3.
