Sgt. Ryan
Question: When is a penalty a good thing for a team? Answer: When its is a delay of game on the offense, and you just had a FG blocked and it was returned for a TD by the defense. OU dominates Nebraska 21-7, but it really wasnt that close. OU QB threw a terrible INT at the OU 20, that set up the only points of the game for Nebraska. The OU defense completely dominated the Huskers, who started near the 50 on virtually every series in the 2nd half, and a few inside OU territory and couldnt penetrate that D for more than the 1 TD setup inside the 20 yard line, by the INT. And just like I predicted, Arkansas would lose to Fla, Nebraska would lose to OU and even if Sc won, they shouldnt have been considered the #2 team, because their so called quality wins that everyone keeps pointing too, just took another nose dive after those 2 lost, yet again. But instead we found out SC truely wasnt worth a sh*t. Unfortunately LSU didnt play today to help prove my theory they too are a fraud. And what a joke the Rose Bowl will be, with SC and LSU as the likely participants now. 2 teams who dont deserve BCS consideration, playing in the Grandaddy of them all. I mean come on, Sc lost to not 1, but 2 unranked teams in the Pac-10, and still win that conference. How said is that for a conference, when unranked teams repeatedly beat your conference Champion. And LSU doesnt even make the conference Championship game, and somehow they are ranked ahead of my Sooners. Well, for the moment, but that could change as soon as Tomorrow, and is a lock to change after each plays their bowl game. Not very often, I can kick dirt on Nebraska, SC, and applaud my Sooners for winning thier conference Championship game, as if they played in the Big 10, or Pac-10 they would have won the Championship prior to tonights game, as those conferences dont have Champ games, but instead they went out and earned it against Nebraska, who SC fans were taking credit for beating, before they were punked today by f'n UCLA. BTW, Michigan beats OSU for the title, and LSU gets thumped by a 2 loss SC team who loses to 2 unranked teams in the worst conference in America. Even the Pac-10 officials couldnt take this joy away from this Sooner fan. Boomer.... Edited December 3, 2006 by Sgt. Ryan

GWPFFL BrianW
congrats to the sooners. Heckuva job Stoops did this year. Losing your starting qb, then half way thorugh losing your heisman candidate running back, and still winning the big 12. Outstanding. Sgt. Ryan
congrats to the sooners. Heckuva job Stoops did this year. Losing your starting qb, then half way thorugh losing your heisman candidate running back, and still winning the big 12. Outstanding. And losing to Texas, and the Pac-10 debacle game. Stoops is easily coach of the year in the Big 12, but nationally, I dont know. Wake Forest is a bigger story. I bet that coach gets coach of the year. Edited December 3, 2006 by Sgt. Glabra
Imagine if the refs in the UO-OU game weren't blind. The BCS situation would've been an even bigger clusterfark.
GWPFFL BrianW
If Rutgers pulled it off, Schiano woulda got my vote, but you can't argue with Jim Grobe for Wake. Wake I found out today has the 3rd lowest enrollment in division 1, and lets face it, the deacons are only in the ACC because of basketball. 11-2 is a remarkable season. Even more amazing. he should jump at the chance to take over Miami or Alabama. Wake is going to be hard to recruit and win consistently. untateve
I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for Bob Stoops. I firmly believe that Florida does not win the NC in 1996 without him.
theprofessor
Just more proof that the Pac-10 is a great football conference. Any coincidence that the ONLY teams that beat SC are in their own conference? Great job by Dorrell and the Bruins. I think the fact that UCLA had two weeks to prepare and SC played 4 consecutive big, emotional games (Oregon, Cal, ND and UCLA) caught up to SC. Hat's off to Pete Carroll for building the "Machine" that is USC and for how he handled the post game comments. No excuses. Gave all praise to Dorrell and the Bruins players. Wouldn't it be nice to see other coaches and other programs show the same class when they lose? Unfortunately, I think we are not going to see the two best teams in the NC game. I think Florida is going to get the nod over Michigan. I think that the BCS is going to look at the strength of the SEC, the fact that Michigan didn't win their own conference and the claim that "Michigan already had their shot at OSU" and will vote Florida in. Michigan's only hope is that the pollsters hang a huge number on them and with that being 67% of the criteria, they get in. Sgt. Ryan
I suggest therapy. With time and lots of money, you may be able some day to get over LSU "thumping" Oklahoma to win the BCS National Championship. Thumping. 21-14, and my Sooners 14 yards from tying the game, on that gased defense. Unfortunately OU stopped doing what made them succesful on that drive, Running it right down the Tigers throat. I dont dislike LSU in the least bit, but they simply dont deserve to be in the BCS over Auburn, and if it wasnt for the La Govenor lobbying for LSU, and Hurricane Katrina, and LSU is an after thought. But just like the Saints, the media wants a feel good story from that devasted region, and the Gov of La is pushing her power to get it. Akfatha
good job on the victory. neb was overmatched a little bit on our offensive line vs. sooner D. but to say 21-7, wasnt really that close, you've got to be kidding. OU just played great bend-but-dont-break D. we had plenty of chances to take control, we had field position the whole day, but OU played some good D. Your punter had a season high amount of punts, you all were backed up for most the game, and our D only allowed 1 long td and 1 long drive. Stuffed the run, had thompson seemingly in disarray in the 2nd half until the 3rd down completion from the 1 foot line. But like i said, sooners eventually made plays when they had to, and the D played very good. Congrats on a good victory, now go whoop the hell out of Boise so we can keep teams like that out of BCS games next year.
