Goopster24
So the three games I am looking to bet (early games that is) are the following. San Fransisco @New Orleans (-7) Kansas City (-5) @ Cleveland New York Jets (Pick) @ Green Bay I feel pretty good about the Saints being able to beat the 49ers pretty soundly. The Chiefs game worries me some, but every time I do get worried, I remember that the Browns rushing defense is pitiful. Larry Johnson should have a field day. The Browns always play tough though. And the Jets? I don't know, this is another though one but I feel as though the Jets are playing for more and will be motivated. They also have a great defense too. Thoughts on these three games? Tally
I took the Jets (this is the game that I feel the strongest about between the three) The Jets are hungry team that feels it can make the playoffs NO- but not with a ton of confidence, I wouldn’t be surprised to see SF keeping that one close. They’ve been been playing better than most people realize over the last month. Let’s hope Colston plays. CLE- at home they usually pull their opponents down to their level. I see it being a close game and just didn’t want to give up that many points. FWIW it was a 6 point spread not 5 when I took the game. San Fransisco @New Orleans (-7) Kansas City (-5) @ Cleveland New York Jets (Pick) @ Green Bay The 49ers are playing for their playoff lives this week. Add in the fact that, contrary to what most people think, the Saints are not playing all that great at home (have lost their last two games in the dome, and won their prior two by a total of 6 points). I like the Saints, but in another close game: Saints 23, 49ers 20. I love KC to roll in this game. 10 days rest from their Thanksgiving game tilt, and playing a team in disarray coming off a blow-out loss. KC won't put up 30, but their defense won't make them: KC 24, Cleveland 10. The last game you mention is, to me, a lock...the Jets are getting out-statted in almost every department, yet somehow are finding ways to get it done. Not this week, though, as the GB rush/pass attack will be much better than the Buffalo/Miami combos they have recently seen. Just a hunch, but I love GB at home: Green Bay 27, NYJ 17. Goopster24
I want to hear more about this Jets/Packers game. I have seen both teams play but I feel as though the Jets are much better. That said, you look at the stats and it is even for the most part. Packers at home are tempting and the Jets are a young team. I guess now I'm starting switch sides and about to bet the Packers, but I still don't know .

IMO, you should pass on this game and look elsewhere for your early game action.
crispirons
the jets are not the best traveling team. as much as i want to back the packers here, i'm staying away. interconference game, playoff chance for the jets makes me want to look elsewhere. kraftykraft
I like the Saints and Packers with those lines. I guess I kind of like the Chiefs too, but it's a bit more of a reach.
crispirons
I like the Chargers -6 vs Buffalo.. really??? thats a long trip from sandiego to upstate ny. warm weather team playing in nasty ass Sega!. this is my moneyline longshot of the day. on a sidenote, rutgers almost payed me off on a hugh moneyline yesterday +350. had it paired with fla, ok, and wake. 20 dollar bet would have payed me nearly 500. oh so close. it was a phenomenal game for those of you that didn't see it. Steeltown Dre
I wish I saw this earlier - we should start a thread earlier in the week to discuss some of the games each of us is targeting. I cashed on the NO game but lost on the Ari/STL over. Someone start a thread tomorrow for the Week 14 games.

alexgaddis
It's easy to laugh when you don't make any picks yourself. I don't bet on football, no matter how much you analyze, "any given sunday"...far to unpredictable, especially this year... I didn't mean to laugh at swammi, it goes back to the "locks" thread where everyone but Misfit were wrong on their "locks" You want picks for next week, I will be glad to give them to you...and they'll have about a 50% chance of winning... Steeltown Dre
You are right - this year has been a little more than unpredictable to be sure. I didn't see the "locks" thread, but as you know there are no such things as locks. Mentioning that word alone is cause for a jinx and a losing play. Hopefully we will have a thread for Week 14. You don't have to make picks if you don't want to. The point of the thread is not to be a c*ck measuring contest. I like the healthy exchange of info amongst knowledgable fans of the game, even if you aren't tossing out winners, to provide useful insight would be extremely helpful to everyone who is reading. And no one should feel bad about posting losing picks - no one wins them all, and most of the pay services don't even hit 50%. I posted "Dr. Bob's" picks and I think he went 1 for 4. I think we are smart enough not to tail blindly. Anyhow, hope we can see you this week.
Trots
My only play tonight is DeAngelo Williams under 65.5 yards. With Foster coming back, I'm hoping he will get at least half of the carries and Carolina's run game struggles continue.
