If people were paying you obscene amounts of cash to push their products, you would be an endorsement whore too.

Tiger Woods makes far more in endorsement money, yet endorses far fewer products.

Then again, Tiger has won something.

But is it how many products that Peyton has endorsed, or how often the company ran the advertisements? Right now off the top of my head I can think of the following commercials I've seen Peyton in:

- 3 different Mastercard commercials (only 1 new one this season)

- Sprint cell phone with him wearing the dumb mustache

- Gatorade commercial where he grows out of the football

- ESPN Sports Center commercial with the Manning family

- Two different DirecTV commercials

- The Phillips (???) LCD TV commerical

- Commerical with him and his brother (may be a DTV commerical)

There might be one or two more, but this was all that I could remember off the top of my head in recent time. That's really not all that many. Tiger woods has done at least that many commericals, however they weren't pushed as heavily as what Manning's have been. And that is nothing that Manning can control.

Manning made over $10m last year from his endorsements that probably took a few weekends out of the year to record. He's the "poster boy" for the NFL like it or not, and advertisers will continue to use his image so you haven't seen the last of him. If he does eventually win the SB, you are going to see even more of him.

thing is, guy makes that much money off of his endorsements, and still went for the highest contract he could possibly get out of the colts. his salary is directly tied to the failure of that teams defense, since btwn him, harrison and wayne, they've got to be close to 40% of the team's cap. its times like this where i thank tom brady for taking less so that the pats would have more money to spend on the rest of their team (not like they did this year, but they had in the past).

As long as we're counting, I think that Tiger pimps for more companies than Peyton. Just off the top of my head, I can think of crappy shoes from spammers, Buick, American Express, EA Sports & Tag Heuer Watches. I'm sure that there are many more.

But, so what. Tiger is "self-employed" & can work the commitments in around his schedule. Certainly, you can not accuse Peyton of these endorsements cutting into his game preparation. And, besides, Peyton is damn funny in all of the TV spots that he does!

More power to the both of them.

Don't forget Titleist and Accenture (although I don't know if he is still with the latter). Tiger can get away with the subtle advertisements like just wearing crappy shoes from spammers clothing or a Buick logo on his golf bag. Thanks to Reebok and the NFL, Peyton doesn't have that opportunity to do the similar at anything official. So if advertisers are going to use his image, well, you get what you have now.

If you take away the $105m crappy shoes from spammers contract, I wonder how Tiger's and Peyton's endorsement contracts compare.
