rajncajn
rajn, i've been able to watch a lot of saints games thanks to sunday ticket, and is it me or does it seem like payton has called a WHOLE FRIGGIN' LOT of play-action with deuce at the goal line, and elsewhere, this year, and on 1st and 2nd downs, too? as in, surprisingly too much for a guy with a power back like mcallister? i understand play-action has its place and time and i'm all for passing when the D thinks you're going to run and vice versa, but i've just seen a ton of it in the red zone with deuce in the backfield. He does what works and if defenses want to keep keying on Deuce & Bush in any short yardage situations then Brees is going to continue to pick them apart. How can anybody fault them for that? Honestly I can't say what is going through Deuce's head, but just judging by his actions, the body language he's displayed, the things that he's said about Bush, the way he's carried himself throught his career dating all the way back to his college days and what everybody who does know him personally says about him, Deuce's primary concern is his team, the fans and winning and judging by all those things if that means taking a backseat or sharing time with the rookie RB or the FB or WRs then I think he's more than happy to do it. Not everybody in the NFL is an egomaniac, there are some players who truly put the team before themselves and I believe Deuce is one of those rare examples based on everything I've seen & heard about him.
