For me, those two have their own tier. SA still has a few games to prove himself, but so far he hasn't impressed. But right now, I'm really just curious where others would rank MJD under the hypothetical situation. He does so much with 1/2 the touches the top backs get. Jones Edge, McGahee, others I think this is an excellent list at this point. I can't quite put Jones Drew up as high as Gore/Jax because we just don’t know who well he can handle the full load. He is a little guy and could easily wear down. That being said my big $$$ local allows two late round keepers and I'm thrilled to be keeping Jones Drew (my last pick of the draft) and M. Jones Edge, McGahee, others I like this list but would bump Westy up to that second tier. He's proven that when healthy, he is one of the best. Other than that, it would be interesting to see what happens with MJD next year but I would certainly think he's top 12 (first round material), pending what happens in Jax in the off season. SA's been a TD machine since 2001. 87 TDs in that 5 year span. How does a guy that's been at the top of the game for 5 years running have to 'prove himself'? The Seahawks as a whole are a bit of a mess right now. They are dealing with things a lot of teams deal with the year after a SB appearance. The extra weeks of playing, wracking up downs and not getting into their offseason takes it's toll. Their almost guaranteed to be a one and done in the playoffs this year. Their team will be very good next year, and SA will be leading the charge. I wouldn't be surprised to see them make the dance again in the '07 season. That being said I don't think I would count on him as my #1 or maybe even my #2 RB at this point. As been mentioned gotta see how he handles a full load and what shape the Jags offense is gonna take with the changing of QB's. Check out these facts Average fantasy points per game LT 20.4 LJ 13.5 Westy 10.8 SJax 10.8 Gore 10.6 and a whole bunch of other guys around 10 Also, I read this on CBS. Owners winning % with this player 1. LaDainian Tomlinson, San Diego, RB Winning percentage: .679 2. Larry Johnson, Kansas City, RB Winning percentage: .598 3. Brian Westbrook, Philadelphia, RB Winning percentage: .567 4. Frank Gore, San Francisco, RB Winning percentage: .550 5. Willie Parker, Pittsburgh, RB Winning percentage: .546 6. Steven Jackson, St. Louis, RB Winning percentage: .540 The owners winning % is 8% better with LT than LJ. That is simply an unfair advantage. And if Benson is the primary ball carrier for a traditional running team, shouldn't he factor in to these ranking exercises somewhere? Given that TJ will probably leave Chicago after this season, he'll start somewhere, I would think - Oakland, maybe? I think Jones would be a better fit up in Detriot's system. But the Jets, Oakland, Texans, and perhaps Packers and Titans could use an effective, veteran runner like that. Which, of course, means he'll wind up in Denver. Don't know how you could put Alexander on the same tier as LJ and LT. Maybe you could argue that he gets his own tier beneath those two and ahead of the other guys - you could, but I wouldn't. I'd take SJax ahead of him for sure if drafting tomorrow, and maybe Gore. But the point is you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who would take him higher than third. And along those same lines, you might be hard pressed to find anyone who would take LJ higher than second, so while it seems like overkill, Rick James is probably right - LT gets his own tier, than LJ gets his own tier, and then you go from there. MJD isn't that small - he's short at 5'7". but 212 pounds is not that small, especially for a guy who goes only 5'7". I'd have trouble taking him ahead of SJax or Gore, or Rudi, probably FWP and Westbrook too, throw Alexander in there. But he belongs in the next group IMO, with McGahee and Edge.
