Vinatieri Is God
It's obvious Moss has quit on the Raiders much like Dillon did to the Bengals a few years back. Dillon wound up with a reputation as a malcontent, poor teammate, etc...but once he got to the Pats he became a leader, exceptional in attitude and performance. Would it be possible for Moss to make the same kind of transformation if he were to end up with a team similar in makeup to the Patriots? Hat Trick
I don't know if he will ever care again...it's been years since he seemed like he cared about football. He's just out there collecting a check IMO.

Delicious_bass
Moss' effort is very conditional. If he feels it is not worth it, he doesnt try and its as simple as that. Now, if he were to be traded to a contender where he felt that his effort was going to be utilized and appreciated (and his contributions could lead to him possibly getting to the Superbowl) then I think you would see the guy on the field making plays again. But(as we have all witnessed) he is NOT going to break a sweat for a losing team that has a poor QB that cant get him the ball regularly. I dont think we will ever see him play like he used to when he was here in MN, but I think there is still a lot of ability and at least a little desire that might come out under the right circumstances. Like Hat Trick said, though, it certainly does appear as though he just doesnt care anymore. Donutrun Jellies
So, no hope at all? Depends on your scoring system. If you get points for stupid criminal acts, recreation drug use, wasted talent, dropped balls, shortarmed efforts, foolish public comments, and general disruptiveness, there might be hope ... Savage Beatings
I think its possible that Moss could find himself in a situation that is conducive to a much better attitude and effort, but I don't think that Moss will ever have another injury-free season. He is soft.
RaiderSteve
Moss is a punk! Straight up...should I go on!!!
Big Score 1
I'm targeting Randy for the 5th or 6th round next year. High-risk, high-reward: perfect for 5th or 6th round. He won't fall that far unless you're in a tiny league.
Ursa Majoris
He won't fall that far unless you're in a tiny league. Sure he could. At the end of the 5th, he'd be the 60th player selected, and someone's 5th. Unless you're going RB-RB-WR-WR-WR, that would make Moss somebody's #2 WR and that certainly wouldn't be me. alexgaddis
Unless the guy gets traded somewhere, why would you draft him at all?

Dillon has far more character than Moss, although then again what NFL player doesn't? As said above a later round draft pick might be worth the risk. Vinatieri Is God
So let's re-phrase using specifics. If Moss were to go to the Pats, would he conform to the "team first" attitude required by Belichick and the veterans or would he still cause trouble? Although the Pats could have used him, I wouldn't have taken him at the beginning of this year because it would have cost too much (draft picks, for example). However, at this point he could go for pennies on the dollar next year.
Todd1
Dillon was a malcontent on one of the worst franchises ever- the shazaamles of the 90's. Moss has quit on the Vi-queens and the Raiders, who are.... oh never mind, same situation. Maybe he could be a reclamation project on a winning team. "Edited for the filter put 'shazaamles' instead of Bengles spelled with a "u"." Edited December 17, 2006 by Todd1
Pitbull739
If Randy is put into a winning situation again it would not be long before he would show why he was on pace to be the best WR ever early in his career. The talent did not just disappear. I would not be surprised one bit if he lands somewhere else and has a few more "Old Randy" seasons.
