Bronco Billy
Championship game, started Driver & KC D in a ppr league for WR/TE. So I'm off to a very good start vs the high scorer in the league. On top of that, his #1 RB - Parker - has a terrible matchup, his #1 WR Coles is nicked up, and his #2 WR D Jackson isn't starting because of injury. Looking great, right? Not so fast, my all-seeing friends. All of a sudden, my RBs are in total flux. I had R Brown coming back to start & Houton matched against him in the MNF game, so I could really make a leisurely decision as which RB to start based upon how my opponent did in the games before. But noooooooooooo - Houston looks like he won't play - but that's cool because I'm still getting R Brown back, and all reports had him starting. Right up until today, that is, when the team is reporting that Morris is starting and Brown is expected to share the load. On top of that, 2 of my players have already played and 5 more are in the early flight of games. He hasn't had any starters go yet and only 3 of his 9 starters are in the early flight on Sunday - including his 2 RBs. That leaves me watching nervously during the first flight of games to see how his RBs are doing against my 5 starters & 2 guys that have played already to see if I should take the risk of playing R Brown or not. My other 2 options at RB since Houston is likely out? Norwood, who is in the 1st flight of games Sunday (which rules him out - and he's the worst choice beside Houston anyhow) or M Bell, who is in the 2nd flight of games Sunday and is a total unknown as far as workload against a CIN D that is average against the run but incredibly awful inside the 5 yd line where M Bell is most likely to make his big impact. So now I get to wait & see if his RBs take a dump - like I expect Parker to do againt BAL - and my 5 starters in the early flight do okay or better so I can start R Brown and hope that I'm taking a low risk in getting reasonable pts against the weak NYJ run D on MNF or whether I'm caught in a dogfight and have to go to M Bell hoping that T Bell will screw up again or that M Bell will vulture a TD or two for a riskier shot at bigger points. #### me! I thought this stuff was supposed to be easy. Anyone else stuck with a late game coaching conundrum tomorrow that could dramatically affect their championship? RILETT
My options for my second RB are similar L. Washington, R. Brown, J. Norwood, or M. Bell. Right now I'm playing L. Washington because of PPR format and Houston being out. It's hard enough in this game trying to figure out who's going to score the most points any given week, but trying to figure out how much a RB is even going to play is another adventure all togeather. Ramhock
MBell over Addai. No brainer if Addai doesn't turn his ankle. Edited December 24, 2006 by Ramhock
