Front Row Posted December 27, 2006 Share Posted December 27, 2006 Dear NY Giants Ownership: It sure is great to be a Giants fan...I am very grateful to have the Powerhouse coaching staff that we do. In this league, good coaches are at a premium. When I go to sleep at night, it really is nice to know that our Organization has put people in place to get the most out of our players, to teach them to be men, and to push them harder every day in an effort for this team to reach new heights. The New York Giants, and all of their fans should feel very lucky that we have the type of system that allows us to be Contenders year after year. The Giants, along with the New York Knicks have set the standard for consistency over the past several seasons, and all New Yorkers should feel proud. I feel badly, that fans of other NFL teams are not as fortunate as us. Some of those lost souls have to deal with guys like Bill Belichick or Mike Shanahan as their coach. It's people like this that really know how to take the life right out of a franchise. They are what we like to call "failures." And Bill Cowher? Don't even get me started on him. C'mon, how many games has this guy won? Yeah, that's what I thought. Through the years we have made all of the rights moves...disposing of the cancers (Bill Belichick, Bill Parcells, Sean Payton, John Fox), and bringing in the type of people that turned us into the very Dynasty that we are today (Tom Coughlin, John Hufnagel, Tim Lewis, and Stewie from Family Guy). So thank you all for making 2006 better than any every other year in Giants Football History. I look forward to more Fumbles, Interceptions, Losses, Injuries, and Penalties in 2007 and for years to come. I don't know why, but I really feel like 2007 can be the year for us! If we improve at the same rate as we did from last year to this year we might even lead the league in Turnovers, Penalties, and Losses...how's that for a Triple Crown?!?!?!? isleseeya Posted December 27, 2006 Share Posted December 27, 2006 Big giants fan since 1983 and this team is so underachieving and disappointing its amazing Coughlin is not the right man for job Manning is not the qb people expected him to be ...he is not a leader , he gets frazzle quickly which leads to a loss of confidence which leads to a complete breakdown in mechanics Burress is a nice talent with no heart ( him and TO have to be good friends ) Barber has been a distraction with his retirememnt talk ( was it necessary for him to announce this in week 5 ??? ) Strahan looked like a fool with that whole wfan interview and his outburst the next day in the locker room Defense can't make any big stops all year No real leadership , no heart , and a whole lot od quit,etc... Really upsetting and disgraceful Fact they have a chance to still make playoffs tells you how bad NFC is .... That might be the point where their season disintegrated and they simply couldnt get it back. That game sent them into a tailspin that they cant get out of. This team is totally undiciplined and that starts with coaching (or the lack there of) IMHO. I also don't think the Manning is getting the proper coaching. He should have improved far more than he has. I am still a Manning fan but another year like this and maybe the G-men messed up royally. I think it is still too early to tell. Even if those are off, I think it's safe to say it's 12-15mil just to get him out of South Bend, before you even pay him for coaching. The NYG have been ruined by Strahan: he helped to run Fassel out of town, and now the players are doing it again to Coughlin. Ownership lets them get away with it, and having players like Burress and Shockey don't keep the complain or female dog ass approach to a minimum. They're going to ruin Eli. Tiki is ok, but he lost a lot of equity with me this year in how he handled his retirement and his total lack of playing on the field when it counted. Tomer is the last likable giant, maybe Osi. Everyone else is hard to root for. Except Eli, but i more pity him then like him. I'm not sure the new Mara team has the intestinal fortitude to make the moves needed.
