Rockerbraves
SEC drops their 2nd bowl game of the season. The toughness of Penn State won out over the speed of Tennessee. RB Tony Hunt, with 31 carries for 160 yards, had his way with the Volunteer defense all day long. The Nittany Lions' defense was amazing, shutting down a Tennessee offense that came in averaging 29 points per game. They shut down Robert Meachem and held him to a season-low 33 yards on 4 receptions. Congrats to Coach Paterno on his 22nd career bowl victory
Rockerbraves
SEC's Auburn prevails over Big 12 runnerup Nebraska in the 71st Cotton Bowl. This game was a tale of two halfs. NU dominated in the first, but it was Auburn's shutout in the second half that prevailed. The game ball goes to the Auburn defense. If it weren't for their adjustments after giving up a touchdown on the first drive, there is no way the Auburn offense would have been able to win this game. Tough break for the Huskers. They played their hearts out, but came up just short against Auburn. Marlon Lucky earns Player of the Game honors for the Huskers as he led them in both rushing (85) and receiving (66). Rockerbraves
Badgers win a close one... Another tale of two halves, but the Wisconsin Badgers made it happen as the offense took a backseat to the defense in the second half and they defeat the Arkansas Razorbacks by the final score of 17-14 in a hard fought, and not to mention, entertaining, Capital One Bowl.
