GWPFFL BrianW
So really, it made sense for the Orange Bowl to take Louisville. Logistically, and for media attention. Louisville is one poor half of football vs Rutgers away from being in the National Championship game, so they had the national spotlight on them. But I believe it makes a lot more sense logistically. The Fiesta Bowl was the perfect spot for Boise State to go, but how many people would they have sent down to Miami?

The only reason why they were in the Fiesta Bowl was due to the fact they earned an automatic BCS bid. I'm pretty sure the Orange was bitterly disappointed when Wake Forest won the ACC as well,. Especially in a year when the Orange was near the bottom of the draft choice list of picking their automatic ACC Champions opponent and in the same year a non BCS team earned an automatic bid. No offense to Wake Forest but they certainly don't travel very well.
