theeohiostate
BrianGWPFFL, don't get your hopes up buddy. We saw Minnesota go out 38-3 last night Texas has played poorly down the stretch of the season, and Iowa was just one of the biggest disappointments in the country this season. Tate was a preseason favorite for Big 10 player of the year, and this team failed in every facit of the game. I'd expect them to lose to Texas, but ya' never know. They're playing well right now. theeohiostate
Iowa loses their starting RB and FB.....................that about does it for them. edited to add: just realized this game is at Texas. Home game for the Longhorns doesn't help matters. Iowa playing the best defense i've seen from them this year, we'll see how long that lasts. theeohiostate
Iowa loses their starting RB Young back in. If his knee starts giving him fits, i don't see Iowa's offense moving the ball much.
theeohiostate
Young back in. If his knee starts giving him fits, i don't see Iowa's offense moving the ball much. ..................and he's back out again That's going to hinder this offense. He really makes the offense so much better. Big 10 has already lost to 2 teams higher ranked , an Iowa win here, would more then make up for that. This would be a much bigger upset then FSU over UCLA
theeohiostate
What a horrible call costing Iowa another 7 points. Chandler illegally downfield??? Suffering succotash!, he was playing off the line a full yard and didn't have a DE or LB over him at the line of scrimmage. Homer call, no doubt...................Where is this game again? theeohiostate
14 point swing on yet another controversial call by the officials this season. TE illegally downfield my ass! Alamo bowl !
theeohiostate
Starting to look very familar to last years game, when Michigan got absolutely robbed by the officials. I think there was another Big 12 team in that game too Nebraska
detlef
This would be a much bigger upset then FSU over UCLA Gee, you think? 6-6 FSU beating 7-5 UCLA not quite the amazing fluke that you guys are making it.

UCLA comes from the greatest conference man has ever know.................some say It may not have been a huge upset, but it was, by far the biggest one to date this young bowl season. sacosud
I thought they were going to call Drew for the horns down hand sign. I don't like the call after the penalty. I think a draw or a run sominthing different, I mean they had at least 3 points and instead give up the interception. Kirk can let his emotions get to him. I think it's going to be a fun 2nd half Texas gets the ball first.

You guys are classic. There are two guys propping up the Pac 10 and about a dozen hating on it yet you keep kicking that dead horse. Back to the UCLA game. I think FSU was getting less than a FG in that one. Kentucky getting 11 pts and beating Clemson by more than a TD would beg to differ about the FSU game being the biggest upset. That game just happens to fit better into your petty little hang-up with the alleged swarms of people touting the Pac 10 as the greatest in history. UCLA had won 5 of it's last six games including a win over then #2 USC. FSU has stuggled on both sides of the ball all season, but exploded on offense this game. Clemson sucks ass. and is no better then a bottom feeder, KY winning was a surprise, but not nearly the shocker of FSU.

Gee, I bet the guys who make a living setting point spreads wish they were as smart as you. BTW, I'm not at a TV so I don't know what's up with the Iowa tailbacks. If they end up losing them for the game, how many points does Texas have to win by for it to count as a win?

I guess i'm not the only one ignorant about the rules, i suppose the announcers who stated it was VERY questionable, and the coaching staff have another thing to learn as well. Maybe someone as versed in the game as you think you are, should apply for an officiating job Who's looking stupid now.................stupid! theeohiostate
Another horrible officiating call gives Texas another 7 points. PI on the 3 and 7 play not called, horrible , horrible non call. Left arm tied up the WR, directly in front of the sideline judge and he keeps the flag in the pocket................next play TD Texas. Where is this game again? that's a 14 point swing and now another 10 point swing. 24 points by the refs...............how's a HUGE underdog on the road supposed to comeback from that???? theeohiostate
Tate OUT Young with knee problems. Iowa was making a run for the win, until the refs and injuries came. Too bad for the Hawkeyes, they came to play today, but didn't realize there were men in black and white parading as Longhorns with whistle and yellow flag in hand. detlef
Oh god, there they go again! Delay of game?! There were at least 10 seconds on the play clock when they threw that flag!

I must be watching a tape delay game. Iowa's in this game only down by less than a FG. Come on Big ten homers show some confidence. theeohiostate
Iowa only down 2 late in the 4th....................who'd of thunk it? Especially factoring in the missed FG, the TD that got called back due to a very questionable call and the homefield advantage of Texas. Then throw in the fact that Texas is the better team with more talent. Iowa impressing me thus far They don't seem to care everyone in the stadium doesn't want them to win, everyone
theeohiostate
Come on Big ten homers show some confidence. in Iowa?? See what i mean? Worst 3 play calls i've seen in awhile They outplayed Texas all day, but that should do it. Those 10 points they lost cost the Hawkeyes the game. Still............MUCH better showing then i or anyone else could have possibly imagined.
theeohiostate
That's about the straw that broke the camels back! Young clearly out of bounds !! with 36 seconds on the clock, the officials don't even review it What a crock of doughnuts Just one in a long line of poor officiating in tonights game. I wouldn't expect anything else when playing in Texas though.
