Sgt. Ryan
13-0 and a big BCS win over one of the Big Boys. A painful loss for Sooner Nation. Boise deserves all the credit in the world for this win, and their coach is pretty d@mn good. Wonder how long he will stay in Boise, before someone from a big time program comes calling. It was pretty amazing how cool he was under so much pressure. I can't believe Saban is thinking about going to Bama. You had him pegged from the beginning, he seems to be just chasing the greenback. DMD
The amazing thing if Saban leaves is that 12 months ago a bunch of people had the Dolphins going to the Super Bowl this year and that all was right with the world.

You had him pegged from the beginning, he seems to be just chasing the greenback. My wife just said something pretty, amazing. She rarely watches football outside of Oklahoma and Cowboy games, and doesnt understand 2 pt conversions. penalties, or play calling. She said, and I quote, " Wasn't this team a big under dog. Why not go for 2, if they win, they shock the world, as everyone later said. If they lose, didnt most think they were going to lose to begin with? That coach didnt seem to have any pressure on him, as everyone thought he was going to lose. Now this guy looks like a genious. " Ironic, sometimes those so far away from things, see things so much clearer than those all wrapped up in it.
Rockerbraves
Ironic, sometimes those so far away from things, see things so much clearer than those all wrapped up in it. That's what I told you. Little Boise played a heck of a game.
godtomsatan
Since the other thread got locked, I just wanted to echo what a fantastic game that was. Add it to the list of the all-timers.

Coffeeman
Put it in the top 10 (or at least top 20) on the all-time list for me. Fun to watch in an Old town Pasadena bar with a bunch of Rose bowl fans. I had a very good day/night....

devilwoman
Boise St was no where near the better team. I will give that coach unbelieveable credit. he had the perfect call every time Boise needed it. But lets make no mistake, the better team allowed Boise to be in this game with those early gifts, and in the end, it cost OU the game. OU doesnt turn the ball over 4 times, 3 of them flat out gifts, and lose their best WR, this game is a Sooner blowout. Not taking anything away from Boise, but spare me with the better team won BS. Best game I ever saw-EVER!! It will be remembered along the greats as the Flutie Hail Mary. Boise St was the better team tonight...that's why they play the game Sgt. I'd say a team that turns the ball over 4 times is not the better team. A team that capitalizes on those turnovers for the most part will win which is what Boise did lastnight. You can't write stuff like this...it was a story book ending to a story book year...right down to the marriage proposal at the end. I do love a happy ending!!! I do love a happy ending!!! It took a woman to bring the proposal thing up. Dw is a softy after all. But I agree that it was a dramatic way to do it, and it makes it harder for her to say no - brilliant.....

I aint happy about the ending, so its hardly a happy ending. The state of Sooner Nation is all over the map. Some want Bob Stoops head for this loss, while others are saying it was a fluke in the first place, and Stoops is why OU was in this game in the first place. Im somewhere in the middle of the two. I do think the loss was a fluke. 3 trick plays to score 15 pts to win the game at the end. But then again, Stoops develops players, and will continuously be in the top 10 playing for BCS games year after year, and will likely win another title in the near future. Rockerbraves
You told us the SEC would dominate too Sounds like you have calmed down abit from yesterday. Man you were stressed? Think that was you who thought the SEC would dominate. Looking back thru the threads think you'll see where I question the Vols with a fellow SEC/Vol homer and I also have always shown great repect for Wisconsin in discussions with Brian who I think is a level headed Big 10 poster. Heck I even called Biran a genius for picking Kentucky over Clemson. I will admit that I did and still do think the SEC is the strongest confernce from top to bottom, but please don't tell me I talked up the HOGs or VOLs this bowl season. Now LSU guilty as charged! It would be a big mistake for Stoops to be fired or leave. He is a great coach and last nights loss does not tarnish his record in my opinion. Sometimes no matter what you do in a game it's just not meant to be. After they all calm down a bit I think they will see how important Stoops is to that program!!! detlef
You told us the SEC would dominate too ........and look how weak they've looked this bowl season. 1) Of the big 4 conferences, the SEC is the only one with a chance of finishing better than .500. Thus, "weak" doesn't exactly come to mind. 2) It ain't over yet and the best two SEC teams still get to play. If they both win, they finish 6-3 which would be pretty close to, if not domination. This is such a lame, pathetic excuse. I watched the coin toss before the game, but I don't seem to recall the referee indicating that Boise was the only team permitted to use creativity and deception on offense. Rather than whine and calling what Boise did a fluke, perhaps you should be asking why your Sooners didn't have some tricks up their sleeves for the biggest game of the year, too. devilwoman
broncofootball@boisestate.edu If anyone feels so inclined to write a small "HELL OF A GAME, COACH" letter here is coach Petersons email at BSU...I couldn't resist...as if he will read it, but what the heck...the game moved me and I wanted to congratulate him and his team. OU obviously didnt feel they needed to resort to trickery to beat Boise St. Boise proved they needed to, to beat OU. I give Boise credit for the execution of the plays. detlef
OU obviously didnt feel they needed to resort to trickery to beat Boise St. History has shown us plenty of times when teams or armies are too arrogant for their own good. This is just another example?

I give Boise credit for the execution of the plays. Well obviously OU was wrong. It's gotta hurt that your team is losing games it ought to win because of some perceived superiority complex that causes them not to take opponents seriously enough.
