MikesVikes
Awesome. I had about 10 people explain the end of this game to me today sometimes within minutes of each other.

Ursa Majoris
Can someone translate this for me? It's TOS's invitation to Sarge for a rematch.

Sgt. Ryan
what a memory and highly favored team, squeaking out a win over a proven loser. It's TOS's invitation to Sarge for a rematch. I believe TOS was referring to LSU needeing a Hail Mary to beat a doormat like Kentucky.

It's hard to believe Oklahoma has fallen this far again after finally climbing back on to the national scene as they continue to fall flat on their faces in every big January game. Just sad, isn;t it?

Just sad, isn;t it? I guess my expectations are just different. I never expected OU to go to a BCS game after losing Bomar and then Peterson. Unlike previous years, I'm not disappointed in this season. I think we overachieved in a lot of areas. It is nice to know that the rest of the nation has extremely high expectations of our football program.

Losing to Little Boise in that manner after getting the lead twice late in the game then losing not once but twice is just really sad, isn't it? Sox
I was laying on the couch, and my fiance asks,"Are you coming to bed?" Me-"Just as soon as the game is over. There's only four minutes left." Little did I know. What an amazing finish.

I don't know which OU team you were watching, but we hardly dominated in the 80's. '85-'87 was great, but OU football was far from form in the other years. I'm assuming from your post that you think Boise State sucks. They actually impressed me. They were ranked higher than OU going into this game. I feel OU wins that game more times than not, but it's in no way "sad" that they won. They have a really good football team and OU didn't play up to their potential. That's what happens in January. I fully expect Ohio State to win on the 8th. But if they play like OU did, they will get beat. Call it sad if you want, but we're talking top 10 teams here. Anything can happen. Was happy to see both Oklahoma and Texas pull their programs back up from those low times. The problem with the Boise lost is that Oklahoma had it won not once but twice. Perhaps the smile was for Sarge, but I truly am happy to see one of the once proud teams like Oklahoma & Texas who disappear from the national scene for years get back into the national scene. To me this lost to Boise is truly sad for a program who so desparatley wants to get back to the top.

They let us back in with the 2 turnovers. I don't know what else to say on this. They beat us...in every way imaginable. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was their secondary. But it didn't matter because Thompson couldn't hit the broad side of a barn Monday night. They were excellent against the run. OU has a very good run game and they stopped it. The only thing I'm truly disappointed in is not getting to see BSU advance to play another game. If they play like they did Monday, I think they beat WF, Notre Dame, and possibly Louisville. Even though I didn't like how it ended, that was a game for the ages.

How does that constitute disappearing from the national scene for years? I would think most teams would do anything to play for the NC 3 times in 6 years. Now you see why we're not that down after this loss. We had to sit through Howard "Smellmyburger" and John Blake. This is a down year for OU and we still made it to a BCS game. All in all, I'm very happy with our season.
