I kinda like all 4 road teams this week

I seriously doubt all 4 win, but I think all 4 have a very good chance to win, and I think probably two or maybe three of them WILL win. I'm not sure which two though... :D

I don't think the Patriots have a "very good chance" to win. They have a chance, but it ain't a good one. I see the Chargers defense being able to do enough to limit Brady, while the Charger offense capable of doing more-than-enough against an overmatched Pats defense. In this week's blow-out game: Chargers 27, Patriots 13.

Of the four road teams, I think the Colts and Eagles have the best shot at winning. If Seattle was playing well, I'd give them props as well. But the fact they came limping into the playoffs playing mediocre football coupled with their effort last week against the Cowboys, and the Bears should be able to win with defense alone. I think its an ugly game.....16-13, Bears?

I expect Manning to play much better this week, and I don't expect the Raven offense to light the world on fire. If the Colts can score 20 points, they should win this game. I think they do....Colts 23, Ravens 17.

And finally, my Eagles.....there is no question the Saints are the better team, but there is something about the ride the Eagles are on that makes me think its not over yet. The Eagles had their bye-week two weeks ago (meaningless Week 17 game), so they shook their rust last week with a so-so game vs. New York. I think we see a large dose of Westbrook early to take the fans out of the game and control the clock, limiting Brees and the pass-happy Saints offense. The Eagles force the Saints out of their game-plan and into catch-up mode, which they are almost able to do....almost. Eagles in a tight one, 23-21.

NE is a given. So you only need to figure out which one of the other three. Not bad odds.... :D

Think that NO wins. (H) Time for some respectability.

Think that Seattle wins. (A) More 'honest' weapons.

Think that Balt wins. (H) Too much D.

Know NE wins. (A) Can't find anyone predicting anything else but a complete domination by Brady and the NE D. Don't even know why they are playing the game.

I'm a NFL underdog lover most the time, however when it gets this time of the year in the playoffs it often seems like the better teams step it up a notch or two. Pittsbugh last year was more the exception than the norm. Don't see alot of upsets this weekend so the points don't look as attractive to me.

Yeah, I don't see it either.

Seattle staggered to a win, I think the Bears make short work of them. Homer glasses aside, I really don't see how the Colts win this weekend in Baltimore.

I give the Pats a shot at winning, but still like the Chargers to take this matchup. I'd give the Eagles a chance, but losing Lito Shepherd will hurt them big time.

:D I am not a Huddle fisherman. Never have been. I just report the news as it happens. :bash:

Lot of experts at other places not only predict a NE win.. they aren't even calling it an upset.

And then we have those here that say all that has to happen for NE to win is for Brady to step onto the field. Once that happens the other team is toast.

So with all that.... it must be a given that not only does NE win, but that SD doesn't even belong on the same field.

Sorry guy... don't mean to burst your bubble since I know you thought that this was your year... but you will just have to accept the fact that no one can possibly beat Brady..and thus NE... in the PO's. He is just too potent of a weapon.

for as much as everyone loves the chargers (i'm pulling for them too)...there are some things in this game that are hard to ignore. tom brady and bill belichek against a first-year QB starter and marty schottenheimer? the pats seem hungry again to me, they look poised to spoil SD's party.

colts/ravens....peyton's GOT to step up big in the playoffs SOMETIME, doesn't he? (ok, against someone other than the broncos :D ) if their defense plays as well as they did last week, i think they have more than a fighting chance to win this game.

the eagles are just playing well as a team right now. and the saints seemed a little uneven down the stretch. i think new orleans probably wins, but if they don't bring their A-game the eagles will be ready to hawk in and snatch the upset.

the bears would look to be the safest bet of the week, and i agree with that general assessment...but we've all seen how bad grossman is capable of looking. also, their defense doesn't have quite the lustre it did early in the season. i think the bears win, but they are definitely beatable.

For Brady thus NE to have a shot in this game they will need some bad weather conditions. Any chance of rain?

Your powers of prognostication are sadly lacking in this case.

I also am looking for a big road team weekend.

I see the Bears as the only team that will win at home.

Agreed. I think that the visiting team definitely has a chance in all the games and I won't be surprised in any of the outcomes. However the Bears I think have the best odds of winning. The Chargers aren't too far behind though.

I think Philly pulls off the upset against the Saints. The Saints have had a great year, but I don't think their luck holds out much longer.

Ravens/Colts...I think it's a complete toss up. I want the Colts to win in an upset, but it's going to be a tough game. If the same defense that showed up last week show up this week, I think we have a good chance of winning. If they don't and Peyton has another off week, then not a chance.

I don't see the Colt D showing up again as they did against the Chiefs. The Ravens aren't exactly an offensive juggernaut but they will fair much better against the Colts than the Chiefs did last week.

Going against history in a big way by saying that. Home teams are normally dominant in this round because it's the most "uneven" round of the 3 - the home teams is the "better" teams and sometimes as many as 4-6 wins better than the visitor. home team has an additional week off. and home team is home. Those three make it I beleive 80%+ home team winners, and that makes sense.

In saying all that, I like both NFC dogs (both AFC favs) mostly cause the NFC is so historically bad, I think any trends can go byebye this year.

the first-year QB starter was 9th in passing yards, 8th in rating, 8th in passing td's, 14th in completion % and tied for 2nd with the fewest int's. so he ain't too shabby.
