Todd1
Any thoughts on this? Seems to me that he's been quite controversial over the years, I recall lots of criticism of his playcalling, especially with the Chefs and the J-E-T-S. Interesting how he molded Gannon, Pennington and Simms. Could help smooth some things out with Favre and make Rodgers a respectable replacement. alexgaddis
If he was a DJ during the offseason he would be DJ Hackett...

No, no he couldn't - everything I've heard about him is bad.
GhostFace
Arghh!!!! Please don't let this happen. There has to be someone better out there. Just ask Jets fans about him. I had C-mart on my fantasy teams while he was with them, and saw some of their games. The offense was very predictable. I would much rather have Philbin, who at least got the o-line playing like a cohesive unit this year. The best thing you can say about him is his qb development, but his latest work (Simms) played awfully this year before his injury. If they name him offensive coord. I will be doing this . Todd1
That's what I thought, that he was pretty poor with KC and NYJ. If Favre retires, he'd be a decent QB coach for Rodgers, but I can see him clashing w/ Favre's style of play. Not that Favre is the most mechanically sound or best decision maker in the NFL... Chavez
Update: Packers promote OL coach Joe Philbin to Offensive Coordinator :whew: Philbin may not be any better than Hackett, but at least he has a shot at being better.
The Wolf
Update: Packers promote OL coach Joe Philbin to Offensive Coordinator Good for you Pack fans...Paul "Can't" Hackett does not deserve an OC job in the NFL. He's that horrible and how NFL teams continue to recycle these retreads is beyond me.
