PantherDave
I promised everyone at least 17 CP recipes this season, and I will meet my goal. I was checking outta the grocery store the other day and saw a small Better Homes and Garden "Slow-Cooker Stews" book, so I picked it up for $4. I've just finished getting this one going for dinner tonight-I'll share it with all. Kielbasa Stew Prep-20 min Cook- low 8hrs/high 4 hrs CP-the usual(3 1/2 to 4 qt'er) 4 cups coarsley chopped cabbage 3 medium potatoes washed and cubed(leave the skin-more nutrients) 3 medium carrots, sliced 1/4" thick 1 lb cooked keilbasa or polish sausage sliced(I went with keilbasa and most packs are 14 oz) 1/2 tsp. dried basil, crushed 1/2 tsp. dried thyme, crushed 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper 2- 14oz cans of reduced sodium chicken broth( I went one regular and one reduced) Step 1- Combine cabbage, taters, carrots. Add sausage. Sprinkle with basil, thyme, and pepper. Pour broth over sausage and vegs. Step 2- Cover and cook on desired temp and time( I see no reason to cook on low since the sausage is pre-cooked and 4 hrs on high should make the vegs tender). Enjoy, I'm looking forward to trying it, we will have some french bread to dip into the stew as well-Peace PD. nogohawk
We love cooking Kielbasa, potatoes and onions on the stove as a regular monthly meal, but definitely going to give this a try. Thanks PD

Thanks PD Glad to do it, as I think I made it to Week 12(Thanksgiving) before the computer went China Syndrome. So that left me 5 shy of 17, so it looks like we will get more than 17 in this season.
