kpholmes
I realize the Pats would have to play one hell of a game tommarow, but how awsome would that be; Brady vs. Manning for the Superbowl again? I for one, think it would be a much more entertaining game than Colts/Chargers, simply because of how much player hype would come with the rivalry, in addition to the hype that comes with playing for the Superbowl... Even better would be Vinatierri kicking a last second game winner against the Pats...

What better way for Manning to get the monkey off his back than to beat Tom Brady and the Patriots !

Sgt. Ryan
How ironic would it be for Manning to put his demons behind him by punking the Pats. Now Im rooting for Manning to get his title.

Me too. I've been behind Manning for a long time and he has had several shots at this. Next week is Manning's time; If he can't show up and play next week, then I think he deservs the same fate as Marino.
Bill Swerski
I'm not really sure who the Colts would've had a better chance of beating, but home-field advantage will certainly be nice. I can already tell that this is going to be one of those classic games that we'll see on NFL Films for years to come. I can't wait.

Me too, BIG TIME. I admire the hell out of the Patriots, but, some of their fans arrogance would be out of control if they win another one (trust me, I know about arrogance over your team ). This is Peyton's time. The best QB in the current era, is about to get the only negative off of his resume. Manning's 3450987th chance at beating the Pats in the playoffs and making it to the big game. Edit: NFL network is already showing old Pats/Colts playoff clips. I believe if Manning has another 3 INT day against the Pats, they aren't going to pull out the win.

I am not a particular fan of Manning, but IMO the whole "a great QB has to have a ring" argument is at best flawed, if not total b.s. It would at least stop one of the most specious criticisms of the guy.
Bring Back Pat!!!
I'm prefacing this, obviously, by saying I'm a huge Pats fan. But I want nothing more than to beat Peyton, again, and Vinatieri. It's funny that all of a sudden people are talking about Manning's opportunity to go to the Bowl as if he played well the first two weeks. He's been terrible! He's still choking in the playoffs this year, 1 TD and what, 5 picks? I can tell you this much, if he plays like that against NE, there's no way Indy wins. May I ask if you watched all of the game today? Brady played no better than Manning did yesterday against a BETTER defense. And if I'm not mistaken, Manning has definitely had the best of the Pats last year and this year. And it would be SOOOOOO bitterseweet if that game comes down to a last minute field goal, and Vinatieri bangs it though.. Should have dished out the $$ that he was looking for. Anyway, I'm not here to get into and "posting wars" and I wont. I'm just looking foward to a hell of a game next weekend.. Cant wait!! Good luck to the Pats and everyone else playing for that matter. Three picks and a fumble! If Troy Brown hadn't stripped the interception, Brady would've lost the game on the potential-winning drive. Oh, but he's so clutch!!! This is the biggest game of his career and the pressure is more now than it ever has been. His legacy could very well be defined by this game. He's had chances before....but now is the time. It's time to silence the critics..... Edited January 15, 2007 by Hitman

No. Brady played poorly and deserved to loose the game. They didn't because of a couple of big turnovers and bad play calling from SD. The point is this, if Brady plays the same game next week, and Manning plays the same as he has been playing next week, New England wins. All I'm saying is manning will have to play much better next week to win.
Hitman
...like all the times before. If he doesn't get it done now....and makes the mistakes that cost the Colts the game...he deserves the "choker" label and all the Dan Marino comparisons. How many chances do you get? This could be the last. I just think he's going to show up big-time...unlike all the times before. Edited January 15, 2007 by Hitman

And I'll be the first one to tell you that with Manning's play, they shouldn't even have been the team playing the Ravens yesterday. But in saying that Manning needs to play better, the same goes from Brady. And I'm not here to preach about how awesome the Colts defense is, but they way they've played in the postseason, it's not looking good for the Pats to head to Indy. They thought today was a tough game. They're going to a place where there will be 60,000+ people who despise that team. It's going to be rough. And hopefully will come down to the wire!!
