Maybe Houston wont be so STUPID this year. Boy, last years draft really panned out for them didnt it??? D Williams on watching football from his couch, R Bush is a game away from the superbowl!! Way to go Texans!

Houston's staff and fans can make all the excuses they want. That has to go down as the worst drafting disaster of all time. :D

Sure it is. Ignore a potential stud DE (which he still may be. It wouldn't be the first time it took a stud DE a year to learn about the size & speed of NFL OTs) on a team desperate for any D impact and draft a CoP RB instead.

Stick to FF.

I don't know, sorta liked that Houston went for the stud DE. Thought it was a very fortunate and thought out pick.

Yeah, and DeMarco Ryans didnt look good at all either...

Mario Williams played really well, and Ryans was THE DEFENSIVE ROOKIE OF THE YEAR.

The Texans draft was a strong one. Just not to people that thing in terms of fantasy football alone.

I agree. You cannot judge a DE by the first year they are in the league. It takes them atleast a year to figure things out. LB's and RB's have always had the ability to play well as rookies. QB's / WR's / DE's take some time to get up to NFL game speed.

You got to be kidding. Are you actually defending Houston's decision to pass on Bush? :D

Exactly. I do think Bush is very valuable to the Saints, but, we can't judge the Texans draft just yet. Mario plays at a much less-hyped position, so, obviously the fantasy-minded people on this board are going to rip them for passing on Bush and Vince Young, but, I really think you have to give this some time before you can analyze how the Texans did. Mario showed improvement throughout the year.

I don't think FF when I think NFL draft and the jury's still out on whether Bush will be a COP back or not. Reggie Bush has the talent to be a game changer. I never said Williams won't be better next year. And if Houston wanted to pass on Bush to address a position where they were desperate for help why did'nt they trade down and draft O-line?

I think that Houston may just come out smelling like a rose. They got the potential Stud DE that could make their defense a whole lot better, and get a better RB this year than they would have last year.

I've seen plenty of mocks that have Peterson going to Houston, if not Lynch. I think AP or Lynch are every down back, where Bush is likely not. Also, remember Kubiak comes from the Denver system, he likely prefers Dom Davis-Williams, Gado, Lundy and Dayne to a 1st round RB.

Also, I heard a few things about Peterson being a 'hometown' guy. I don't know a lot about Texas and Oklahoma, but wouldn't someone from Houston hate an Okie RB???

Sarge? Buehler? :D

Is it safe to assume that Peterson will drop to 8th?

Of the 7 teams ahead of them in the draft, who needs a RB? Detroit, and Oakland could use one, but they both need QBs a whole lot worse. Kiper has him 6th on his big board and Lynch 8th on the big board. Scouts Inc. has Peaterson at 6th and Lynch at 10th. IMO either one of them is a better RB than Bush.

They still drafted 2 of the top rated OL in the 3rd round of this years draft. :D

Peterson like most Sooners are from Texas to begin with. And Im a diehard Sooner fan, but Id be happy has hell if Dallas landed Vince Young.
