msaint
Rotoworld: Colts GM Bill Polian is complaining about defender's roughing up his wide receivers. Here we go again. Completely unprompted, Polian said this on the Colts website, "When you have blitzing teams and you allow that downfield stuff, such as what happened to Reggie Wayne, you’re going to limit offense. That’s the net of it. You encourage the power-running game, you discourage the passing game ... That’s not good, when the best teams play that way. That’s not good for the health of the game." Well, at least Polian already has his built-in excuse ready in case the Colts lose Sunday. As for that last line.... Bill Swerski
Polian is such a Rosie O'Donnell Unfortunately, I agree completely. Dude can draft and cap-manage a team like a whiz, but couldn't shut his freaking mouth to save his life. I don't blame him for being mad about what happened in the '03 AFC Championship Game, but he needs to let it go. Do all New England writers use double-negatives? There's already a pro-NE media outlet. It's called ESPN.

Pope Flick
oh yes he did Link to a pic? That's gotta be the funniest thing I ever heard: "we'll hang a banner for 3rd or 4th place"
Caveman_Nick
is there a way we can keep sgt ryan out of this thread? Why? Just because he has closed the book on any NFL franchises being possibly recognized as one of the best of all time because that would require said franchise joining the company of his beloved Cowboys? He still has good insight on several other topics...

Bill Swerski
The same ESPN from which 7 of 8 of the writers picked the Chargers? Yep, the same ESPN that employs blatant NE homers like Peter Gammons, Michael Smith, and Bill Simmons. That's a real diverse bunch there. They have banners for division champion years and AFC finalist. Then again, they've only been there for 23 years. How many decades did it take the Patriots to win a championship?
