H8tank
Did not see this posted unbeleivable... http://cbs4.com/sports/local_story_025154548.html (CBS4) MIAMI Die-hard football fans attending the Super Bowl game at Dolphin Stadium are getting a rude awakening after finding out that no tailgating of any type will be allowed on game day within one mile of the stadium. "There is no tailgating allowed in the Dolphin Stadium parking lots," Sue Jaquez, a member of the Super Bowl XLI Host Committee, confirmed on Tuesday. "And there is no tailgating anywhere within a one-mile radius of the stadium." "And there are no RVs allowed." If caught grilling or consuming alcohol within that one-mile radius of Dolphins Stadium, fans initially "will be warned and asked to pick up their things and leave," Fonticella said. What the hell? charty
That is just plain dumb, I can see if the SB was in a downtown location, like Minneapolis or something. But Dolphin Stadium is in the middle of nowhere and has plenty of parking lots.

Rockerbraves
Are they banning Corporate America's hospitality tents within a one mile of the stadium as well?
Bronco Billy
All the more reason to move the SB to Lambeau Field, Soldier Field, or Invesco Field. I'm shocked that they didn't ban smoking within a mile of the stadium, too. I wish them the best of luck with that alcohol ban.

It's only a matter of time before there are no fans at the game at all, just 70,000 bloated corporate carcasses stuffing their fat faces with caviar, all paying $3,000 apiece for the privilege. At that point, the NFL will have reached it's goal.
isleseeya
Insane ...well we can party indoors and watch the game in comfort at the least ...they can't ban that I tell you Edited to change can to can't Edited January 26, 2007 by isleseeya
godtomsatan
So the parking lot at the stadium is reserved for those who pre-paid for it? Shocking.

tonyr0802
Security for terrorist attacks perhaps? Probably a good point. I've never been attacked by one, but I could imagine it'd be pretty painful getting attacked by a terrorist and his grilled weinie. Or ungrilled for that matter

The Next Generation
Those damn Miami / Chicago / Indianapolis fans have GOT to be the worst since they're banning them from tailgating!

My assumption would be they wanted to keep the entire area clear of people, not just those performing tailgating type activities. But if you want to go that route, i'm sure you can roll out a nice looking grill that was really an improvised bomb.
