Chuck Howley?

Cool call BJ! (had to look that one up)

BUT, I don't see the MVP ever coming from the losing team again.

I bet they wish they had that one back.

How can you be the most valuble player, if your team lost?? :D

I suppose that the winning team could have a bunch of good-but-not great individual performances from its skill-position players, while one person from the losing team ALMOST carried them to victory. I don't think that the MVP should necessarily be the "best performer from the winning team."

the funny thing is that it is not far fetched that ALL of those things could happen in the game.

of those 8 options, i could see 5-7 happening. hardest to score on would be both harrison and wayne getting 100+ AND both of them with mult td's

A la Thurman Thomas getting robbed in '90 - I love Ottis Anderson, but it was pretty clear who the best player on the field that night was.

As for MVP - if the Colts win, I find it hard to believe Manning won't have been a MAJOR part of that, and is probably the sentimental favorite.

If the Bears win..... :D ....Hester has a shot, but I'd be surprised if the Colts don't do EVERYTHING they can to minimize him; Urlacher is probably the "big story" if the Bears win, since he's their best player on defense; that said, it isn't impossible that Grossman tears up the Colts D.

Colts win - 90% chance it's Manning

Bears win - Urlacher has about a 75% chance of winning it, Grossman 20%, Hester 5%.

Colts Win: Adam Vinatieri :D (It really is hard to imagine that Peyton wouldn't get it, but I think that Vinatieri does not get the credit he deserves for helping those NE superbowl teams win. Also, he is 11/11 in this post-season, including a 51 yarder.)

Bears Win: Brian Ulracher (He is the face of that franchise and, much like Peyton for the colts, it would be hard to imagine that he wouldn't get it.)

How about Cedric Benson? Since the Colts have an undersized but speedy D they might be able to shut down T Jones. Therefore, making the Bears use Benson to hammer it into the line, work the clock, keep the T.O.P. in their favor to win the game.

He's a real possible darkhorse to win the MVP.
