jaxfactor
I'm not a real soup fan. My Italian grandmother used to make some killer stuff though. I'm not big on Chunky Soups except for the New England clam chowder. I was at the store the other day and decided to take a chance on one that i hadn't seen before. I bought a can of the Grilled Chicken and Sausage Gumbo. Just ate it tonight and I absolutely loved it! I think I have a new fave. Just wish Campbell's/Chunky would cease with the NFL ads though. I'm totally sick of them and the whole "team mom" concept.
isleseeya
I believe their is an insane and very unhealthy amount of sodium in those soups but they are tasty
Jimmy Neutron
The only canned soup I like is Campbell's split pea, to which I add milk instead of water, a good slice of cheese and black pepper.
HowboutthemCowboys
Chunky's Firehouse Chili is pretty good.
Bier Meister
i've liked their gumbo, but a lot of the "cream of XXX" i've had have been too thick (and salty).

I don't know, the use of "cream" and "xxx" in the same phrase is not an appetizing notion.

georgemoe
Jax and Az. I agree. The chicken and sausage gumbo is excellent. I finish it off with a touch of 1/2 & 1/2 and a tbsp of butter. I have about a 1/2 doz cans on hand at any time. I also like the beef barley, chicken corn chowder, and Progresso italian wedding soup. Rockn mentioned mushroom. I also keep a few cans of regular Cambells CoM on hand to add to crockpot beef recipes.
jaxfactor
Let me edit this by saying that after I posted this thread Sat. night, I got extremely sick. Don't think it had anything to do with the soup(I have a case of the flu) but after some heavy heaving it's just hard to go back to what you had just before getting sick. I'll probably be leaving the gumbo alone for at least a few weeks.
