Chunky Soups

I'm not a real soup fan. My Italian grandmother used to make some killer stuff though. I'm not big on Chunky Soups except for the New England clam chowder. I was at the store the other day and decided to take a chance on one that i hadn't seen before. I bought a can of the Grilled Chicken and Sausage Gumbo.

Just ate it tonight and I absolutely loved it! I think I have a new fave.

Just wish Campbell's/Chunky would cease with the NFL ads though. I'm totally sick of them and the whole "team mom" concept.

The best soup ever invented is Mushroom!!!! (Dam, mah pants are getting tight)

Some restaurants around me do a good job, but the best I ever had was @ Conrad's in the Flamingo in Vegas! They like pureed the 'shrooms in a great base! To kill for!!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I'm done! :D

Jax and Az. I agree. The chicken and sausage gumbo is excellent. I finish it off with a touch of 1/2 & 1/2 and a tbsp of butter. I have about a 1/2 doz cans on hand at any time. I also like the beef barley, chicken corn chowder, and Progresso italian wedding soup.

Rockn mentioned mushroom. I also keep a few cans of regular Cambells CoM on hand to add to crockpot beef recipes.

Let me edit this by saying that after I posted this thread Sat. night, I got extremely sick. Don't think it had anything to do with the soup(I have a case of the flu) but after some heavy heaving it's just hard to go back to what you had just before getting sick. I'll probably be leaving the gumbo alone for at least a few weeks.
