gilthorp
Your team has proved to be so much better than the Bears. Your offensive unit, defensive unit, and individual players are far superior and I highly doubt it was just this one game. Playmakers on both sides of the ball, no panic, strong running and passing attacks, disciplined, and deep. When you have a back up DB make a huge play and your back up RT come up hugh...it's really amazing. Your coaching staff is to be commended for an excellent game plan, and the head coach is all class. Enjoy your title--you deserve it. I make no excuses for the Bears. They seemed to be outclassed the entire way (with the exception of the first 20 seconds) and they don't have the type of playmakers to compete at this level. I'll add my congrats to all the Colts fans too. At first, I thought we could do it but it's clear we only have half a team right now and we were utterly outclassed. Well done - at least the title resides in a class organization another year.

I'll agree. Great job in showing that a class act (Dungy) can win the big one. What a difference a year makes. And that Manning guy should be worth keeping around too. Ditto, the Colts were more prepared for this one. Rex has to go, i just don't see him getting any better. His mechanics are all wrong and his head... don't even want do go there. Congrats and enjoy! Now he can get the respect he deserves as one of the top 5 NFL QBs ALL TIME.

Bill Swerski
Thanks. The Colts D stepped up at the right time and that made all of the difference. I'm not convinced that it'll carry over into next season, but I have hope. The Bears are a great team and have a young, talented defense that will keep them competitive for years to come. I really hope that they're able to hold onto Briggs for at least one more season and go into the playoffs with a healthy Tommie Harris and Mike Brown next year (assuming that the latter is still there). Losing those two put you guys at a real disadvantage. As long as the Bears aren't playing the Colts, I'll be pulling for them. pseudolefty
Way to go! It proves that perserverence pays off, and once again, all that matters in the regular season is that you get yourself into the playoffs. Then, just get on a roll and let it ride. I hope the Chargers can follow suit and pull it off one of these years as well.

Big Red
Congrats to the Colts fans. Their fans have waited since '84 for this. Man, what a dark time as a Ravens fan. Not too long ago we won it, now the Steelers and Colts have won it in consecutive years. The only thing left would be the Redskins winning it too. My sigline used to say that The Football Gods would never let an Irsay win a Superbowl. I guess my The Football Gods have forsaken me.
