CBs Chris Gamble and Ken Lucas are very talented, but they've struggled at times because they're not strong tacklers against the running game and aren't always very aggressive pass defenders. The team sent a message to Lucas last season, at one point benching him because of poor tackling. That same message will be sent to every defensive back on the team in training camp. As talented as Gamble and Lucas are, the team won't hesitate to bench them if they're not more aggressive. CB Richard Marshall had a very good rookie season and the coaches will use him as a starter if Lucas or Gamble has the same problems as last year.
