Pope Flick
Very nice I love to watch him put his head down and run over defenders. I want to do another, as this clip was less about his bruising runs but more of what else he brought to the field which included fun, class and poise. You did a good job. I like the one where he gets facemasked while running into the endzone and responds by picking up the pylon and non-chalantly dropping it in almost exactly the place that it should be. Is there any photo footage of Walter's pre-game warmup antics? Like how he'd throw footballs at the balls that Butler would kick through the uprights. That would be cool to see. Big Dogs
I grew up in Gary, IN, so I watched most of Peyton's career, and what I loved most about him is that in addition to his elusiveness, if he couldn't elude a tackle, he would either smack you in the mouth with a straight arm, or put his head down and try and run right through you. Definitely a class act. There'll never be another like him!!

The flag on that play was a holding call - that run never counted! And if you notice when he drops the pylon he's holding his right arm gingerly where he came down on it, in other words he did that while in pain. irish
He probably is the best back to ever live and if not one of them. However, I didn't realize until watching that video that he wasn't a speedster, in fact he lack speed, as many were able to track him down from behind. The problem is most weren't able to bring him down as he had a viscious stiff arm was very strong and had great balance. He was one tough runner!! He was one tough runner!! meanest stiff arm ever. and NOT scared to take a hit. and he delivered his share too! No running out of bounds. Some guys make me sick the way they race to the sidelines. SLAYER
sweet. The Greatest RB imagine what he could have done with the dallas o-line. My nephew's son who is 15 now is named Payton, so when he meets new people and all and they say oh you're named after Peyton M, boy he gets pissed no my is spelld with an A as in the greatest RB ever. Not exactly sure if I'd say THAT. Jim Brown, Emmitt, and Barry weren't exactly a full tier below. That said, if I could have any of those guys in their prime, I'd take Sweetness in a heartbeat. That said, if I could have any of those guys in their prime, I'd take Sweetness in a heartbeat. Jim Brown was before my time and I never saw him play. But I saw all of the careers of Payton, Emmitt, and Barry. In my opinion, Sweetness is in a tier of his own, well out in front of the others. Those other guys are all in the 2nd tier, well off the pace.
max
Very nice pope flick. One of the things I noticed in your video and always have remembered about Payton is that he did everything at full speed and his legs NEVER stopped moving. One thing I didn't notice during his playing days is how he held the football during runs. It was amazing to see how he felt the pressure coming. He would hold it like a loaf of bread but alway had it secured when a defender was approaching him. Good stuff.
