forever in debt to mo lewis
i dunno..im bored chris houston-if this kid were bigger...hed pass leon hall easily as the top rated corner...kid oozes confidence...played against jarrett, dwayne bowe, and robert meachem eric wright-booted out of usc after starting as a freshman(redshirt i believe) in the national title game...did a job on mark clayton(of course a good pass rush helped but)...this kid was never in trouble before usc..and stayed out of it after...i think its a case of a young kid being in impressionable in a city like LA...i think the team that lands him in the 2nd is getting first round talent...great value brandon merriweather-coming into this year...the guy was considered a potential top 10 talent...then came offseason arrest for discharging a gun(no charges filed...gun was apparently registered and he was returning fire at someone who shot at a teammate...we all saw what happened to bryan pata...its grimey down there...nother case of a young kid in a real tough city)...and then of course the brawl which some people will still hold against him...me, i hear the kid is a team leader...so id expect nothing less than for him to be in the thick of things if something like that breaks out...bad city and program...wrong place wrong time...some people will think sean taylor...i think the kids alot less of a thug and smarter than that...only concern would be durability the way he throws himself around...if yer getting him in the late first, or early second, i think yer getting a steal jarvis moss-moss had a rough showing at the combine...didnt run as well as i would have thought...real week in the bench(only 17 reps)...which hurts since he is obviously lacking some upperbody strength...if hes a hybrid 4-3 end/3-4 rush linebacker it will hurt if he isnt strong enough to hold up at the point of attack against the run and shed blockers....but reality is...before this year the kid basically hadnt seen the field in two years...hasnt played much ball since arriving at florida..had a pelvic injury and a staph infection...and reportedly lost over 30lbs...he can add weight and strength...the kid is still a project...relies alot on a quick first step...needs more polish and pass rushing moves...but i think theres alot of potential there...pats apparently still like him...jets too desmond bishop-if you like patrick willis...let me introduce you to the value version...same size..just as fast..and stronger...i think he had the most 225 reps of any linebacker zak deossie-not much of a secret anymore...showed tremendous physical ability...friend of belichicks daughter...same high school as BB...when he was in high school playing qb, BB taped a throwing session, and broke it down with him right after in the film room....the kid is big...could be that run stuffing inside guy ala ted johnson...and seems to have the athleticism to maybe play outside as well in the vrabel role...smart kid who can learn...has nfl bloodlines...major question is ability to adapt to nfl competetion
Seahawks21
I tell ya, Jarvis Moss is very impressive on film. Pursues with a mean streak and shows a knack for being slippery when getting off blocks. Some team is going to be very thankful he had the workouts that he did at the combine. Poor man's Terrell Suggs.
